    All about ...................

Good points except for one thing. Ever since she got here it hadn't been "All about the B" It's been ALL ABOUT JOANNE!!!!!"

First and foremost, you have a faculty, that has been treated horribly by the President of the university, and has no confidence in her. She has wasted millions of dollars on things such as a gargoyle for a mascot, the Ivy League design of the BU "B", and alienated former coaches and players just to mention a few. Every coach and person in the athletic department with the exception of the soccer coach and a couple office employees, have either quit or been fired. Every coach she and her athletic director have hired have failed and failed miserably. She has gutted the "B Club". With her and the athletic director, it is always somebody else. The motto for BU is "It's all about the B" but should actually be "It's all about the money". There is none. The university now uses consulting firms and pays big money to get hire coaches. People say, every else does it. Well that's a bunch of bunk. If they do, then BU made another poor decision, if this is the type of basketball coach you get with a consulting service. A well rounded athletic director, not a doctor with a bunch of education degrees, knows the difference between a good, average or bad basketball, after a few minutes of conversation. Yes, this board has major and tough decisions to make and it appears, they are hiding as well. Maybe they are trying to hide behind their poor decisions.

That is funny. Many people have nicknames for her, and one of the few that can be posted publicly here is "The Queen Bee".
The statement actually makes sense- "All About the Bee"

We are shifting millions of dollars From Academics to Athletics every year.
We are spending money on Food Services - which should never be worse than break even.
We are spending significant resources (I'm not sure who knows how much) on security cameras and electronic door locks. Personally I do not feel safer.
Faculty and Staff morale are the lowest anyone can remember.
People are worried about whether Bradley will even survive.
There are reports that many of our VPs are afraid of their leader.

What does it take fir the PJS to report on any of this?
What does it take for the BOT to accept their responsibility?
When board members resign, from any board, their replacement is typically replaced by someone recommended by the person in charge of day to day operations. It happens all the time at park districts, school districts and on other boards. Several members of the Board of Trustees at BU have chosen to resign, rather than stay and stand their ground for what they believe is in the best interest of the university. As they resigned, they have been replaced by people that are hand picked by Glasser and few members of the Board of Trustees, that she has in her hip pocket. That is why the Board of Trustees, continue to allow BU to be the laughing stock that it is. As a result, we have a university with a declining academic standard, horrible morale, an unbelievable high turn over rate of employees, and an entire athletic program in shambles. This Board of Trustees, continues to leave Glasser in charge of the hiring of an athletic director and numerous coaches, that have failed miserably in their results. It does not mean they are bad people. I'm sure they're good people, with great intentions and would make good neighbors. They don't however make a good athletic director or coaches. But when board members let their board be dictated by a few, they become "yes men" and it trickles down through the university. There will be some that stand up and become vocal about their jobs at BU. These will be people in the academic area because they care about education and their responsibility to students and society. These people will also be fired. The people in the athletic department will either leave for jobs at other schools or stay like the baseball and basketball coach, and suck up money at the fans expense, while destroying their respective programs. I can't believe that our soccer coach continues to stay at BU. He has done a fantastic job and could certainly move on to something better. I BLAME IT ALL ON THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES, THAT SIT BY IDLY AND WATCH THIS CONTINUE.

We really only differ in that I blame her. The BOT has a responsibility to fix the mistake made by the Board that hired her.

The Board of Trustees must be held accountable for the hiring of Glasser. They were the ones that hired her and many of them are still on the board. The Board of Trustees are the ones allowing it to continue, not Glasser. She is answering to nobody. The only way to get rid of her is through the Board of Trustees, unless she resigns or retires. With the money she's making and having nobody to answer to, why would she do either of those things?

I've been around Bradley basketball a long time - five times longer than most of the people who are currently running the department...

In every prior situation for the past 30 years when the quality of Bradley basketball tanked....
WE AT LEAST HEARD the admin & the heads in the Athletic Dept. say this...
"OK we know we've done poorly, we know there's fan dissatisfaction
but we're working on it, we'll make changes, and we will be back on top soon."

This time it is tremendously different. We are again doing poorly with the quality of Bradley basketball at historic LOW...attendance at RECORD LOWS...
and yet this is what we are being told this time...
"No, you are wrong. We are doing better than at any time in the past 30 years. You fans are uneducated.
We really don't care about the people who buy tickets in the upper bowl. We are NOT going to do anything to get better -
..we're just going to schedule weaker to get a few more wins, deny there's anything wrong, claim it's really, really hard,
then blame it on some guys who were run out of here 4 and 5 years ago...maybe even try to blame it on events from the Molinari era.
Then instead we are going to turn 100% of our efforts into revamping the logo, the mascot, and cramming all our fans
into an uncomfortably small & unpopular arena for our purposes - not theirs. and, by the way, we're going to
jack up ticket & maintenance prices - especially 2X, 3X, and even 4X on the long time fans who have been paying the most already."

Remember - just a few weeks ago the Chairman of the Board (the very guy directing the process of picking the next batch of people in charge) wrote that he strongly supported, applauded, and defended the current administration and said this about Athletics:

"As far as Bradley's overall athletics program is concerned: I think we have
                  made positive strides.
Last year was a record setting one for Bradley Athletics with the department
achieving its best over-all athletic performance in at least the last 30 years."

Athletics at Bradley was the BEST it's been in "at least the last 30 years"????
This statement alone ought to require the guy get drug tested .. it clearly shows he has no clue why so many fans have given up and the stands are are empty!

That is exactly why I continue to focus on the Board of Trustees and not Geno did this, Les did that, Wessler wrote this then and this now. The retiring/firing of Glasser is irrelevant, if the Board of Trustees make the same mistake again. How do we know they won't?
