He only starts at 1984, and i think some of you might be expanding "immediate Peoria area" a tad more than Dave is looking for. I don't know if Sydnor played ball or not.

well Dave lists kids from Morton, Washington, Eureka, and even 35 miles out in Canton - so he's definitely going out of Peoria..
but he does mention 1984 as a time limit...

            here are some ICC kids

            Breland Mcknight - N. Kentucky
            Wendell Mardis - Alabama State
            Billy Baptist - Chicago State
            Roger Phegley
Manual's Marlon Brooks -1996- played at DePaul
Manual's Ivan Watson & Willie Coleman I believe played at WIU (1995) where Clint Ford played

How bout Ron Wendelin and Dave Golden at Duke. David Booth at DePaul. Mike Robinson and Mike Jr. Kenny Drummond at NC State. Think he played for Jimmy V. One or both of the Prudoes twins played in the Carolinas. Scott Beherends BU and Tenn. Chatt.
Tom Wilson ,Dave Klobucher, Bob Swigres (Sp), Danny Adams, Aaron Zobrist, Dave Downey, Hiles Stout. I'll probably think of some more but gotta go to supper with the grandkids.

Dave Reynolds has his list updated - pretty good job, I am impressed...some obscure names...

I'll add a couple more name but not sure if they count -

                Bill Braksick - Flanagan - ISU 1984

                Matt Taphorn - Pekin - ISU- 1985

                Pat Taphorn - UW-Green Bay '84

a kid from tiny Lovington, near Decatur ended up at Wake Forest

are we not counting Lincoln (Nelson, Cook..) but are counting Galesburg?

Joe Vogele was a couple years behind me at St. Joseph's grade school, but he still started on our team when I was in the 8th grade. Knew he was a special player.
