Chicago Pro-am league

this summer the Chicago pro-am league is Nike sponsored and named the Chi-League
they held their All Star Game and Dunk Contest this past weekend...Scottie Pippen was one of the judges.
(reportedly BU's Tony Bennett, Illini's Demetri McCamey, and other familiar names are playing...but little press so no box scores...)

One familiar name in their dunk contest is 5-9 Chicago State guard Royce Parran who we played against...
but the winner was Rafal Lipinski - a Polish player with some pretty impressive ups...

Honestly - if you watch this entire 3 minute YouTube video of the Chi-League dunk contest - I think you'll agree it is FAR better and more entertaining than the NBA dunk contest has been since the MJ & 'Nique era!!

Lipinski's winning dunk is at about 2:50 on the video - he leaps over a guy who is standing up on a chair and holding the ball overhead!
Lipinski even lures Pippen off the judges table to participate.

Some pretty impressive dunking!

But the quality of that video is horrible. I could get better quality video on my 1st generation Sony Handycam Beta camcorder from 30 years ago, yet that was just shot this past weekend! Every personal camera and cellphone these days gets way better video than that. If people are going to upload video of events to YouTube, there is no excuse for video quality that poor.
