Where's the next coaching hire going to be - ?
There haven't been a lot lately....Giacoletti at Drake, Barry at SIU, Muller at ISU but no new guys this year or last....
Wichita (Gregg Marshall) and Indiana State (Greg Lansing) have been the only two guys recently whose names were talked up as being potentially hired away.
Then - as far as edging closer to the HOT SEAT - I can think of ONLY two MVC coaches even close -
one would be Marty Simmons if he has a disastrous year...
and much to the dismay of some locally - if Geno has a horrible year there will certainly be people mentioning his name in this context.
...but I am going out on a limb and say it's gonna be Dan Muller ... I think he has the potential with returnees Knight, Hunter, Lynch, and new guys ...
...to have a really good year and might get noticed.......
One more thought.....
What if Nebraska has a really great year in the Big Ten -
WOULD JIM MOLINARI be a candidate for any MVC job should there be one available?
He has great midwest connections, he'd be a great fit if Loyola opened up, and I wonder if he wouldn't love to get back to head coaching at a higher level...
