one writer who viewed an open practice for the Utah Jazz was quite positive about Chris Roberts...noting his good outside shooting...
    at one point he wrote...
"....Chris Roberts nailed a three. If you look at how some of our other guards shot it's clear that this dude is going to get a chance to contribute on this squad."

BTW - there's a dunk from yesterday's summer league action that is trending...

Eric Griffin (from Campbell Univ. but playing in Venezuela & Dominican Republic the past 2 years) off a pass from ex-Shocker Gal Mekel for the monster slam

Chris Roberts got in last night's summer league game for Utah but played less than 3 minutes - got a steal.
Walt sat out his game. Cleanthony Early hurt his ankle and is out.

Walt got a good look at Jabari Parker tonight
            ..
Jabari had 20 pts, 15 rebs with a few highlight plays (he also led in asst) as he raised his averages to 16 ppg, 8.2 rpg,
while Walt got to play 14 min, had 6 pts, 2 reb, 1 asst, 2 steals

              "..
Despite being the first Warrior to really find a scoring rhytm, Gardner
credited teammates Aaron Craft and Walt Lemon, Jr with
setting up the team??™s offense better in the second half.

???I wouldn??™t necessarily say I led the charge,??? Gardner said. ???Craft and
Walt Lemon came in the 2nd half when we were down and really
picked up the energy and got everybody going so I just played off them.

Craft and Lemon led an outstanding thirty-one point fourth quarter,
and nearly sent the Warriors off with a big win.
...Lemon had just one assist, but also picked up 2 steals scored 6 points and
helped facilitate better ball movement in the 3rd and 4th quarters."

                Interesting discussion on Warriors..

they were NOT impressed with their 2013 1st draft pick - point guard Nemanja Nedovic during the summer league....
thus they have a decision to make - he is bound to the Warriors for 2014-15, but they do NOT have to extend him and that would save >>$1 mil plus open a spot for a point guard ...possibly benefiting Walt -- btw the story also hints that they were not impressed with Craft either..
The Warriors have an interesting decision to make on 2013 first-round pick Nemanja Nedovic, who did not exactly inspire gushing reviews through the team’s Las Vegas Summer League run, which just ended yesterday. It’s certainly not a Kevin Love/Klay Thompson… Continue Reading →

Walt played for the Warriors' summer team - and since the end of summer league play there's been an injury
to the Warrior's expected starting point guard - Nemanja Nedovic - as Nedovic suffered a severe injury to the foot
that was initially thought to be a fracture...which he sustained while playing for his (Serbian) national team over the summer...
but the injury is likely to keep Nedovic out through the early exhibition games and maybe into the season.

Anyway - the Warriors had to scramble to sign another PG for backup (they have Stephen Curry & Shaun Livingston)
and even though Walt may have likely been the best PG cut at the end of the summer league - the Warriors instead chose to sign Aaron Craft.
