Good game.......this is the most I've worried at home in a while....to close for comfort....give them credit......they hit their FT's and get to the hoop! Glad to get Zach back to playing up to his potential! Nice crowd...wonder what the attendance was? Nevermind it was 10,080!

Sam Maniscalco was there and another kid who I would guess to be Daniel West.....but it's just a guess! A tall kid standing the same height as Coach Lennox was also on the court before the game.....at least 6'6?

There were several recruits there. Beside Sam Maniscalco, I think the visitors might have included Daniel West, and the Yelovich kid from Mt. Vernon. Was Matt Roth there?

PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley junior guard Jeremy Crouch (Pekin, Ill./Pekin H.S.) scored a game-high 25 points and senior guard Will Franklin (Houston, Texas/Alief Hastings H.S.) followed closely behind with 22, leading the Braves (9-3) to an 83-73 non-conference men's basketball victory against Southern Miss (8-2) Saturday night at Carver Arena. The Braves overcame a hot-shooting Southern Miss squad for their 14th consecutive home win and their 24th straight non-conference win at Carver Arena. Still with a non-conference game remaining in the ESPN Bracketbusters series Feb. 17, Bradley's nine non-league wins in the regular season are the most since the 1987-88 squad posted an 11-3 mark, then rode that momentum to a sweep of the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season and tournament championships. Southern Miss reserve guard Jarvis Hill led the Golden Eagles with 19 points, while Jeremy Wise chipped in with 16 and Courtney Beasley added 11.

Yes, although I'm not sure all what happened. On the post game show he said part of it was because he threw a water bottle. He apologized to his team.

              Attendance was great, 10,080.

The "T" came about because Jim Les was furious about 2 or 3 non-calls mostly when Jeremy Crouch (AKA - Jimmy Church) was fouled. They were trying hard to hammer JC and see if he could take it, and the refs kinda let them get away with several including a stiff-arm to the throat as he shot and drained a 3-pointer.
Then when JC took it to the hoop and got literally hog-tied and thrown to the ground with no foul called, Jim Les stomped and threw something. The ref immediately T'ed him up.

But he really had everything to be angry about, as they were trying to hammer JC and see if he could take it without losing his cool.
BY THE WAY -- he did take it just fine, and didn't lose his cool.
JC was 10-10 from the line and 25 points overall.

Matt Roth was there, see the separate thread about recruits that were there!

Gotta give S. Miss some credit, they shot well, 65% from the field.
Wonder when was the last time BU shot under 50% and yet beats a team by 10 that shot 65%?
But we nailed more threes and forced way more turnovers.

Coach Les was letting the officials know of his opinion. Agreed - they made no calls. I saw once where Coach Les was pleading his case and the ref from across the court was shaking his head 'no' in response.

Suppose what I am trying to say is... the officials were aware of what Coach Les wanted them to be looking for and they felt it was to be a 'no-call' situation.

I do recall there was a call in the 1st half against Bradley that the official 20-25 ft from the basket made, yet the 'contact' occured in front of Eddy Hightower who was under the basket and didn't call it. I think there was a plea of, if the ref under the basket considers it a no-call, how can the guy 20-25 ft away through the trees see it and call it.

Honestly - I think the game was called pretty good. Bradley got some touch fouls a lot in the 1st half, but Bradley really gets up on players defensively and will touch. If the refs don't want that close of contact, then they are gonna call it as such.

The key is, figure out how they are calling the game and then change/adapt to it.

Was at the game, had a great time up in the nosebleed section. SoMiss came to play. I was doing my best (along with my brother) to get the upper bowl to make some noise...

Only thing that happened that made me question what I was doing up there, was this like 6 year old kid turned to me while I was screaming at a Golden Eagle trying to make a FT and said, "why do you root against them?"

I could only say, "becuase I want them to lose."

Anyway, we had a good time up there, hope you could hear us along with the P-town superfan, who was absolutely audible up in nosebleed. YES! AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! NCAA!! YES!

At least, that's what we heard.

Hey - nobody mentioned the 'new dimension' of Salley and Zach in the game together at the same time.

I liked it at first when I saw it...

but the team looked a little frazzled and didn't flow together well.

I think Ruff was at the point, Andrew Warren was in, Jeremy Crouch, and the 2 bigs.

Not a terrible look at those 5 players on the floor - I think Coach Les needs to work on this kinda lineup more often in practice for instances when we want/need to go 'big'.

We need to let them know when they are young. Ween them along Fish.

                          Agreed.

It didn't flow - and looked as if we were hurting to find offense.

So, stick with the 4 guards... BUT.... work on it a little, we might need to go big for a couple segments.
