AJ Guyton's induction into the Indiana Hoosiers Hall of Fame is this Saturday...a truly great honor for native Peorian & brother to Daniel Ruffin

However - there's an interesting sidelight to this story...

Guyton pleaded both personally and publicly to his coach Bob Knight - to return & be present at this ceremony..
As many know - Knight holds an enormous grudge against some at IU and has refused to ever come back - except - if you can believe his jokes - after he's dead so they can kiss his ***.

Now even Tom Crean and other Indiana officials are publicly pleading for Knight to bury the hatchet and return - even rolling out the "red carpet"!

But - Knight has NOT responded and likely will not be there - too bad for AJ, that Knight has decided his own agenda is more important than his relationship with one of his greatest players.

Knight's main gripe was with then-president Myles Brand, AD Clarence Doninger, and a few other officials, all of whom are long gone from the university. It seems time to bury the hatchet.
