This has been known for quite some time. He was originally paid around 700-750K when leaving ISU after making 400K. He is paid a head coach's salary because his "official title" is Head Coach in Waiting. Basically they are paying two head coaches so he can take over when Brown is done. He's got the sweetest gig in America. Head coach money without head coach responsibilities.
