I have heard from someone in Trevor Stumpe's family that no other D1 schools in Illinois other than NIU and UIC seemed too interested in him, even though all of them appear to lack quality shooters.
Wofford got a commitment from Stumpe, and another pretty good 6'4" shooting guard named Fletcher Magee on the same day as they were both visiting the campus.
Seems all Wofford does is get the mid-level recruits that few other D1 schools want, and all they do is win. They have had winning seasons 5 of the last 6 years, they have averaged 20 wins the last 5 years, and have gone to the NCAA tournament 3 of the last 5 seasons under Head Coach Mike Young.
