Recruits/players on campus?

Tomorrow, June 9, marks the first day of the first summer session at Bradley...
Summer classes run from June 9 - July 11
the 2nd summer session runs from July 14 - August 15.
If anyone hears about any of the players - either new guys or return players, making it on campus for the summer sessions, let us know...

BTW- if you watch that video of Auston Barnes making a trick shot...
consider this...had he been wearing a shirt with a commercial logo or using a hockey stick that the manufacturer's name was visible - we might be looking at a high-profile NCAA violation...

check out this case...
a basketball player at FAU made a YouTube video obviously promoting a facy watch.......... and the NCAA is citing the player for a violation - essentially the same as making a commercial or endorsing a product
He may lose his entire senior season of eligibility! He should have been a little smarter or had someone from FAU check it out first.

I don't think this is a big deal and isn't uncommon for JUCO players... I definitely wouldn't let it affect my outlook for the season at all.

Maybe ...but certainly BIG DEALS have been made in the past over players not being here early in the summer...

Rashad Austin (add'l link), Stefan Zecevic - who we were assured numerous times by several posters he'd get here fully prepared and ready to go...
but we found otherwise - and that is wasn't just a "conditioning" issue, it was an issue of being prepared for and understanding D-I - then later everyone else & even Geno confirmed that his arrival late was a huge reason he came unprepared for the college game - maybe costing him his spot on the roster before the end of the season

When I read about Thomas's injury last year I thought there would be a strong chance he would need a redshirt year. The article doesn't really give me a hint on if he will need it, but it is very good to hear he is on campus and working. I'm not sure the part where Jones says his conditioning is poor means that much. I mean, his poor conditioning and my poor conditioning are vastly different and I'm guessing it is just because he took it easy during the spring as a cool down period after his season ended.

All in all the best thing to hear from that article is that 10 of our 13 scholarship players are on campus working, and the worst thing to hear is that three people aren't here yet. I agree with amckillop, I don't think there is anything to worry about on that front though.

Tomorrow, August 23 is moving in day
Classes for fall session begin next week
Almost certainly the players will be doing workouts as allowed by NCAA rules
Hopefully Kendall Amerson is going to be here but I have not seen nor heard anything....

All of the six new players are already in the system and listed in the Bradley directory & on campus
and have a page with e mail address and description of their curriculum....except....
Kendall Amerson still does not show up in the directory
