I would love to see Max in a BU uniform, even if only for his remaining one year. I think he would help the team in both tangible and intangible ways. But mostly, I think Max -- being local and known to area fans -- would help in an area the program now finds itself needing help: putting people (especially young people) in the seats.

Max, if you want to be an instant fan favorite and make lots of people in your hometown happy, come to Bradley!

I read today that Michigan may find room for 6'10 big man Michael Edwards as a late recruit.....apparently a later bloomer

If Michigan has room for Edwards, my guess is that there is no scholarship for Max

The Michigan site 'Mgoblog' seems to think Michigan is ok with letting Max leave.

As an aside-I note in the link below that Edwards already has an offer from Illinois St and just read that Notre Dame visited him yesterday

Sure would like to see Max back in Peoria for a season at Bradley-especially since there seem to be more than a few scholarships available as of today

Yes, I have heard that Max will not be getting a scholarship for next year. The chances he will transfer are very high.

That would be nice, and I suspect he'll consider Bradley. But Max is a good quality player who shoots the ball very well for a big man. He will have other schools recruiting him, and most will be schools that are better than what Bradley will be next year. If one of Max's priorities is playing for a winning team or having a chance at an NCAA experience again, he'll probably land elsewhere.

It would appear with this morning's reports we have....er....some room on our roster for Max. His experience would be invaluable in mentoring what is looking to be a very young team next year and being a part of re-establishing Bradley's basketball tradition of success.

After listening to this mornings interview, I thought Wardle did not want transfer players.

I kinda got the same impression---and IF Max leaves--I would agree that he would likely want to plat his last year on a winner---and unfortunately that will not be the case here
                  Bradley football--undefeated again this year

Looks like your helmet is wearing off. They might surprise us next season. Who knows.

Biefeldt has talked with Wardle, considering Bradley.

Lots of talk this morning on twitter about Max possibly coming to Bradley next year.

The following is from Dave Reynolds

The 245-lb. Bielfeldt will graduate from Michigan and can transfer without sitting out. Says it would be fun to play in his home city.

Michigan 6-8 junior Max Bielfeldt of Peoria just told me he's talked with Bradley coach Brian Wardle and lists BU as an option for next year

                        And from Roy Schmidt

I've seen no official announcement but it looks like Max Bielfeldt could be coming home & playing for Brian Wardle at Bradley next season.

Always felt Bielfeldt was a player Bradley should have never let get away to begin with. Transferring there makes perfect sense.

just do a board search for Bielfeldt as see how many times Max transferring here has been discussed -
we're finally gonna get to see him, maybe

Pretty sure if he asks for his release he is granted it because he has yet to be on campus as a student. With a head coach leaving before a recruit gets there I believe allows them release of LOI if they chose too.

I think he is a big strong kid- I just question his mobility & athleticism verse valley bigs! Not super skilled which would trump his lack of mobility/athleticism
