Here's a comparison of the Valley teams and how much scoring they have returning from last year...
Two teams return almost everyone, five more return over half their scoring...
This does not count incoming transfers, only those players returning from playing in the Valley last year.

    96.5% Evansville
    91.2% UNI
    80.7% Loyola
    58.2% SIU
    58.1% Missouri State
    56.8% Wichita
    56.4% ISU
    48.3% Drake
    43.3% Bradley
    41.7% InSU

Very interesting stat but certainly no secret. It sure is obvious our newbies will have to make a huge difference for us to make a big move towards the top. Call me crazy but I think we have the pieces in place to get er done.

I know the stats can be misleading....Loyola lost all their low post players - they return pretty much only guards - so that's not as good as the 80% figure suggests...

Likewise Wichita's returning production would seem to place them in the middle of the pack - but they return 3 guys - maybe four (Van Vleet, Baker, Cotton, Carter) who would possibly get 1st or 2nd Team preseason...

but for us to have only 40% of our scoring coming back in year-4 does hint that we are rebuilding all over again......everyone said by year 2 or 3 we'd have the nucleus in place to compete for the top of the Valley and almost everyone thought by year-4 we'd be a preseason pick to be among the league's elite...but I am skeptical
Bradley's great fans are ready for a successful year and not another excuse extravaganza and alibis

        Yeah, no more excuses!

If GF can go 10-8 in the MVC in Year 4, like his predecessor, I'd be happy!

In year 4, his predecessor also had an RPI of 39, won 22 games, and went 13-1 at home, and had an SOS of 50, and went to the Sweet 16. If we can even come close to that, I am sure fans will be happy.

To be honest I would be happy with 5th after the past 5 years. A lot of people would be happy just to stay out of Thursday's game and win a game at ST Louis.

The recruiting looks like it might have turned the corner this year. I am looking ahead to the season next year.

That was a watershed year for BU, which has not been seen since. Still frustrating how that season did not carry over to more success for BU in the MVC in the following years.

Hopefully GF and his team can make a similar jump in the MVC this coming season as the magical 2004-5 BU team. Otherwise, more fallout...

GF will also have to hit a home run with recruiting for 2015-16 class as well to compliment all the returning production in 2015-16..
