Will Ransom of Dayton State College (juco) who visited the ISU campus a couple weeks ago - originally from Ft. Worth Texas

Ransom is a 6-8 sophomore forward with the following numbers this past season at Daytona..
4.9 ppg, 47.7% FG shooting, 55% FT shooting, 7.2 rpg

...in 2012-13 he played at Paris Junior College in Texas averaging 3.5 ppg & 4.7 rpg to go with 40.7% FG shooting and 60% FT shooting

I like this signing. He adds toughness and depth down low. Birds don't need a guy who is going to chuck more shots.

time will tell but his numbers make Chris Blake's juco stats look like Lebron James'

Looks like the perfect guy to foul down the stretch if needed

Hopefully Muller realizes he is not a great free throw shooter at the end of games. Also ISU doesn't need big things from Ransom just solid minutes. When Bradley signed Blake they needed him to be more of a presence on both ends of the floor because of their overall skill level at the time. I don't think Ransom is being recruited to start.

NORMAL — When William Ransom was deciding where to spend his next two years, Illinois State added up in more ways than just on the basketball court.

Article about him and a mention of Graham Woodward the pg transfer from Penn State visiting this weekend.

tell me more - if ISU lands this guy then the total of the scoring averages of these last two commits still doesn't even come close to double digits....

Will Ransom never played much for ISU - the least used of all scholarship players -
now appears to be teetering on being gone from the team - suspended for at least the 3rd time
