    the player list for this year's Portsmouth Invitational is available...

    several familiar names hoping for a shot to impress NBA types & evaluators....and get a shot at the next level...
    ..a few are ex-BU recruits (Drew Crawford, Juvante Reddic, Jordair Jett, Tim Frazier) - several are players we've played against (Isiah Armwood, Josh Davis) - and one is an MVC player - Jake Odum.
    More players are still to be added.

    Some random stats from the Portsmouth Invitational

    Buffalo's Javon McCrea was one of the surprise scoring stars...
    he went 9-14, 21 pts, 5 rebs, 3 blks

    Northwestern's Drew Crawford had 9 pts on 3-8 with 4 steals

    Oakland's Travis Bader, the nation's best 3-pt shooter hit 8-14 and 4-6 from the arc for 24 pts

    SLU's Jordair Jett had 8 pts/6 asst

    Likely the worst showing of the first day of the Invitational was South Alabama's PF Augustine Rubit (who some compared to Kenneth Faried) who went 1-11 and only had 6 pts/4 reb

      Jake Odum was impressive 7-10, 16 pts, 6 assists - the next John Stockton?


      Speaking of Stockton, David Stockton from Gonzaga - John Stockton's son - had 9 assists in the 2nd game last night

      Cincy's Justin Jackson had 18 rebounds in game 3 last night

        Jake Odum makes the Portsmouth All Tournament team
        There are over 400 PIT alumni playing professional basketball around the world. There are prominent PIT alumni playing in the best professional leagues in Europe, Asia, Australia and in North and South America. More than 65 PIT alumni played in at least one NBA game last season.
