Hey, it is officially Bradley Athletics mission statement that is repeated a lot on their website (though it seems to be absent for most recent pages).
Here it is at the bottom of this page-
PEORIA, Ill. ? The Bradley women's tennis team will add two of the top players from their respective states for the 2014-15 season with the addition of Alexa Brandt and Aimee Manfredo.
Bradley Athletics Mission
Provide every student-athlete the opportunity for both a distinctive education and a championship experience.
This BU Academic School Year:
Men's Soccer #1
Women's Cross Country #2 (and Rising / 2014 NCAA Qualifier on Home Course)
Near
Women's Golf (TBD)
Men's Cross Country #4 (and Rising / Very Good Recruits Coming In)
Not
Baseball, Basketball, Softball, Tennis, Volleyball
Can't Grade.....
Impossible for BU to Meet this Quoted Objective:
Men's Track (Can't Get a Championship with No Throwers/Jumpers/Sprinters - Mid Distance and Distance Runners Only)
Women's Track (See Above)
Although Rating in Long Distance Races only - BU ladies at top in conference tournament...
a couple thoughts..
Soccer has already been there for a decade+ & the current success relates to the fact that we have MADE NO CHANGES
and 4th has been defined as NOT competing for championships.
and one more thing - even winning was not good enough for some....
- the golf coach that was fired won the MVC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP in 1999, 2002, 2003, and 2006....and competed & finished strong almost every other year in his years here, perhaps the most success by any BU sports program in multiple decades...
but it still didn't spare him from the housecleaning that has taken place since 2009.
