A report per Alex Kline says Jordan Swopshire just visited Colgate..
Colgate could use some help, they have averaged nearly RPI 300 over the past decade...although they did have several players who averaged well over 40% form 3-pt

            anyone interested - player followups??

in his first two games Stefan Zecevic for Hill College - both were wins...
.. in one game off the bench, was 1-1, 3 pts, 6 rebs...
and in the other game as a starter was 1-1, 2 pts, 6 rebs, 2 asst, 3 steals, and a block!

Swopshire, of course will sit out this year.

Donivine & SIUE play Thursday but they drew 800 to their Red-White!
Jalen Crawford & VSU don't play 'til next week, and Shayok plays his first game with UMKC this Saturday & Abell plays his 1st game Saturday.

Jordan Swopshire is now at Colgate and should be eligible this coming season - but his team has a whole lot of other newcomers...
Jordan, who will have more experience than most of his teammates - is now at the 6th different school since his junior year in high school (he is now a RS-sophomore at Colgate) and should have a chance to battle for some playing time at Colgate.

Head coach Matt Langel and his Raider men's basketball team are set to add six newcomers to the 2015-16 roster.

Saw him play a lot in Highschool. I have no idea why he wasn't a star at Bradley. I know MSU recruited him pretty heavily.

agree- he has talent and with the right effort under the right coach he could do well - but each of the last few schools he was at - he left prematurely

Disclaimer- this post contains things I was told by coaches and other observers and are not my opinions.
Regarding Swopshire: From what I heard from our previous staff, he definitely had skills, but did not take coaching very well (to put it kindly). Fans might not have been able to see what the coaches saw, but when he did get in a game, recall that he usually came right back out. I was told that he was not consistently where he was supposed to be on the court, and did not run the patterns on offense or assignments on defense that he was supposed to do. I also heard that he missed or was late to some practices.

These are the kinds of things that drive a coach crazy, and will usually get a kid's scholarship revoked, regardless of now talented he is. It will be interesting to see how he meshes with the coaches at Colgate

It was pretty obvious that Swopshire was lost on the offensive end. Teammate had to point to where he was suppose to go.
