  • ISU - Revolving Door

Those are the words of one of their beat writers Randy Kindred...

"ISU basketball exodus - 'process' or problem"
    "Install a revolving door."

This article lists Middlebrooks, Ekey, Threloff, Hill, Upshaw, Keane, Lofton, Zeisloft, B. Allen, G. Allen...(some speculation Middlebrooks would be back but these latest events argue otherwise)

But Nic Moore, Darius Clark, and Trey Blue all left & went elsewhere after Dan Muller was hired - so they really should also be on this list...........
..although I do not rule out that they may have possibly made their decisions earlier - but they definitely did NOT appear on the roster of anyone else anywhere else until a couple months after Muller was there so he could have possibly had them under the right circumstances.

This is only a problem if these guys weren't being recruited over. He is bringing in better talent then those that left. Please save me the Ekey, Upshaw and etc.. arguments.

just don't see a lot of kids leaving at Wichita State, Creighton, InSU, or UNI -- all of whom are arguably the strongest four programs in the MVC over the past several years....

LOLZ good effort... "could have possibly had them"... that's funny

Clark asked for his release BEFORE JANK LEFT ISU (http://www.pantagraph.com/sports/col...9bb2963f4.html)

Trey Blue also asked for this release BEFORE JANK LEFT (http://www.pantagraph.com/sports/col...a4bcf887a.html)

Nic Moore made up his mind BEFORE Muller was hired (his exact words)
???As soon as Coach (Tim) Jankovich left I made up my mind and knew I wanted to go play for a BCS program,??? said Moore in a statement from ISU. ???It didn??™t matter who was going to be the head coach. My decision had already been made.???

        I hate facts

When is the last coaching change those schools have had?

Also- can't you go back to ripping your own coach and school... its more fun to read that stuff

thanks, but as I said regardless of what they were thinking before Muller was hired, Nic Moore did NOT leave until after he was hired - and the other two did NOT finalize their decision and land on someone else's roster until a month after either....those are the facts as stated -

Thus 13 players have left since Jank left - but even if it were only ten as Kindred lists - ten is an enormous, revolving-door turnover worthy of comment.
Heck - people blamed JL for the loss of Joah Tucker & Antoine Tisby that he had nothing to do with...so DM is fair game, right?

..and btw - you are preaching to the choir - I hate all the revolving door stuff as much as anyone

Speaking of Jordan Threloff he might have made the right decision leaving ISU and going to NIU...

not only did he get to play regularly...
he was just named their NIU Men's Basketball Player of the Year..
The article references that they have a TOP 10 list of their athletes..but he is the highest rated of the basketball players...
the only male athletes on the list ahead of him are football players.

Zeke Upshaw who was also run off became Hofstra's best player and got All Conference recognition

Some of the other players Dan Muller inherited (Jackie Carmichael was a possibble 2nd round draft pick then was All NBA D-League, Tyler Brown got some All Conference mention & D-League play, Nic Moore starred for SMU, Jon Ekey was a key player for Illinois, John Wilkins is playing pro ball, and even Zach Lofton (not inherited but also gone already) is in the Big Ten)...
...wonder how Muller was not able to have good years and couldn't get above .500 over the past two seasons with this much talent plus the guys he has now?

ISU's walk-on is also gone - Matt Stacho is also leaving the team -
