Not a good performance by the ladies as they came up short 57 ???‚¬??? 41 after leading 21 ???‚¬??? 18 at the half. To rub salt on the wound we were suppose to get a coupon for 6 free wings at Buffalo Wild Wings if we held Illinois to 60 or fewer points and they failed to pass them out. What???‚¬?„?s up with that?

Bradley jumped out to an early 9 ???‚¬??? 5 lead before the Illini went on a 7 ???‚¬??? 0 run to take the lead. As the first half was ending we got a board with 44 seconds and started a break and had the advantage numbers wise. However, we called a time out and could not score. If we had finished the break we would have had a 2 for 1 and a chance to score twice.

What really hurt was our inability to run any offense. Devyn Flanagan was the only one in double figures with 14. Erika Nelson was next with 7 and Amy Peters had 6. That is just not going to get it done. The end of last year we put in a new play to run some back cuts which I thought worked really nice. We have not evened tried this play this year. Too often we take a shot too far under the rim or the glass. We have to learn when the shot should not be taken. The same applies trying to shooting in a crowd. Our shooting was so bad in the 2nd half I was told we didn???‚¬?„?t make a field goal until 9:49 left in the half. Congrats to the Illini.

There was another post either here or on the other board regarding Ray Brown. He was at the women's game.

Thanks for the report. I watched the first half and they looked pretty good. I thought they could hold on for the win. Disappointing to hear how poorly the 2nd half went.

I was also disappointed to be denied my wings coupon! hehhe. Tough second half, offense seemed to be totally out of sorts.

I saw Ray Brown and Saihou Jassey at the game... interestingly, other players may have been there because as I was leaving I saw Ruffin, DA, and Andrew Warren sitting on the side of the court a few minutes after the game had ended.
