Chicago Sun Times high school basketball writer Joe Henricksen has a couple columns following up on the Illinois high school class of 2010 players to see how accurate his projections were back in 2010.
It is very interesting to see how these top players in a very good class of players did, and especially to see how many of them failed to live up to expectations.
Top 15-
16-30- note that #19 on this page is Walter Lemon-
Here is what was said about #19 Walter Lemon then and now-
19. Walter Lemon, 6-2, PG/2G, Julian What the Hoops Report said then: There aren't many better finishers on the break than Lemon, who is a force in the open court and getting to the rim. Explosive first step. Still in the process of refining his overall game and shooting stroke, but he will bring speed and athleticism to Bradley.
And now: Should be included in the argument for best, most productive college career as he’s been terrific at Bradley. He capped off a four-year career, which included scoring over 1,700 career points, by averaging 18 points and 3.9 assists a game as a senior. Although the Hoops Report thought highly of Lemon as a prep, it still wasn’t high enough.
