Don't know, think it would be a bigger committee than that.

Regarding next year, I remain hopeful that Ford can work some magic. However, I admit to being a Cubs fan and hope comes back every year.

Also a Cubs fan--but also a realist--no hope this year for the Cubs--no hope this year for the Braves

For a Cardinals fan, 3 years as a cellar dweller and there would be a mutiny. 4th year would be a sure takeover or call for ownership's head. Difference in whether a team and its fans expect/have a winning tradition

BU should be upholding a winning tradition. Unfortunately, Bradley fans are expected to act more like Cubs fans and just accept playing on Thursday nights every year.

I guess Da Coach and I are old enough to remember when Bradley WON REGULARLY...and did not make alibis for losing...

                  Here are some astounding facts....

From the middle of the Great Depression (1936) thru 1988 (essentially the end of the Versace era) - Bradley had only six losing seasons over a 52-year span!!!

From 1946 through 1988 (42-seasons) BU had just FOUR losing seasons and NEVER once had back too back losing seasons.

Even if we look more recently - starting in 1988 then go thru the beginning of the Molinari era (1991) and continuing all the way 'til now -
BU has only ONCE had a single season where the win total DROPPED from one year to the next by more than 5 wins!
..but now in the past 3 seasons we've done it TWICE.
Our tradition of winning and winning regularly is fading to a distant memory...

Looking to 2014-15, I've never had less excitement. I hope I'm wrong... I often am.

The one problem Bradley is going to have is that there are several MVC teams that will be a lot better next year. UNI, EU, Drake, SIU will make great strides. IllSU will be even better with a really deep team. WSU well enough said. Hopefully Shaw and few other additions help make Bradley competitive and the whole Valley will be looking up.

MVCfan - what you say is very true and I agree with it just as I saw the drop in the strength of the MVC in 2013-14 coming way back last spring...

but your post makes me laugh a little -- because way last summer we knew most MVC teams were going to be weaker in 2013-14 because they were losing so much and that as a whole the swap of Loyola for CU made the MVC much weaker...

and yet, anyone who even brought that up kinda got assailed for hinting that if BU showed any improvement it might be tied to the Valley getting weaker.

BUT -- now here we go starting to lay the groundwork to explain why we might do worse next year but now the MVC will be stronger....

I believe it IS GOOD if and when the whole league gets BETTER and we need to get better and not only keep pace but stay ahead of the pace so we will be one of the better teams in an improved conference that returns to the national spotlight for more reasons than having one good team.

I guess my point was that I think Bradley will be a better product to watch, but their record might not change much.
