So does anyone know is he decomitting or did we back off over injury/acedemic concerns and he is just now letting schools know we backed out? Because I know the rumors were we wanted him to cool his jets when he told everyone he was coming here.
      Gotta stop feeding the trolls.

We are going after the same players as North Texas? Give me a break.

The only thing ever publicly acknowledged was that there were academic issues.
The only mention I recall was this blog entry by Dave Reynolds about a month after Brooks tweeted that he was committing to BU.

Macari Brooks, who was verbally committed to Bradley at one time, will take a visit to University of North Texas

Unless it's an academic problem everyone involved should be fired if we're losing players to the likes of North Texas.

It's not so comical that North Texas was a much better team team than Bradley was last year in just the 2nd year under Tony Benford.

so why should staff be fired if we lose a player to them?

So we need opinion police to stop this kind of thinking?

It is not my opinion, so I can't answer. But it comes back to the sad state that Bradley basketball is in. There are a lot of fans worried and bailing, and I can't blame them. But as long as the media paints things as improving, I guess some people think everything is rosy.

Do we even definitively know why he is not coming here? Its moot if his grades weren't good enough. What if there were questions regarding his character? I by no means think everything is rosy, but there needs to be some trust put in the coaching staff. Based on all available information we did not lose this one. It appears he wanted to come here as he said as much on Twitter, but there seemed to be no effort by the coaching staff to reel him in. Maybe he was a back up plan, and he thought that he had an unconditional offer. Without having more information I don't think its worth making this into something negative.

It's been posted here by me before- from what I understand, it is something more like grades, credits, eligibility, or off-court issues. So Bradley was not out-recruited for his services by UNT or anyone else. Only the staff can probably say for sure.
Though I can understand some of the concerns some fans have about the recruiting and the roster turnover, and the regression of the team this past year, but this Macari Brooks issue should not be one of them.
He would have been a nice player, but I think he would not likely to turn things around by himself. Let's see if he even signs with UNT.

You must love reading the PJ Star then.

In case you haven't noticed- the negativity is not just "on this site". It is in the fan base. The thousands who have dropped their season tickets and who don't care about games or donating any more.
We have lost 62 games in these last 3 years. I don't think any time in Bradley history has their been over 60 losses in a 3 year span under a coach. Not to mention 3 play-in losses in 3 years, which is also unprecedented. There are plenty of negatives, and they are not being created in the minds of fans.
I hope fans will stick around long enough for the changes to come, but it's sad to see how many have lost interest and become negative.
