This just shocks me. Jalen was at my table Thur. night at the banquet and he was a very nice young man. We've all done things in our lives that we wished we hadn't done and I'm sure this was one he'll regret for a long time. Kinda tainted his record setting night. His game last night ranks right up there with one of the best performances I've seen in the State tournament ever and I've been to them since 1970.

the story of the Jalen Brunson hand gesture has gotten almost comical...

first - Brunson posted a tweet apologizing then deleted his tweet and replaced it with a quasi-apology saying he was sorry the picture looked like he was giving a foul gesture, but that he wasn't...

"I apologize for the image that was captured in last nights game
but I do not apologize for the action because I didn't do what was portrayed"

This story is really strange. I agree in the video it is hard to determine if he does flip off the WY fans but the stills prove without a doubt what he did.If the IHSA was going to suspend Jalen and then backed down because Stevenson said they would forfeit the game . Shame on the IHSA. Hope that wasn't the case.

I have heard that he and the other Sudanese kids are not going to be qualified for Division I because they do not have transcripts from their home countries that verify their educational courses. Like most African kids, they will need to attend a prep school or a junior college.
