Illinois State (16-15, 9-9 in MVC, and 12-3 at home) hosts Morehead State (20-13, 10-6 in OVC, and 9-6 on the road). ISU's RPI was 134 but they lost 3 of their last 4 games. Morehead State's RPI was 141, but they lost 4 of their last 5 games. The one stat that stands out about Morehead State is their 3-point shooting was 29.6%, among the worst in D1. They have a good inside game and are a very good rebounding team with a +8.2 rebound differential.
ISU shot just 31.9% from three, though they are better at home, and they are not a good rebounding team, and are not deep inside.
So it probably comes down to how well ISU can shoot, and can Reggie Lynch stay out of foul trouble. I think the home court advantage will give ISU the slight advantage.
but they do play a whole truckload of 250 & 300+ plus non-conference opponents to fatten their win totals
(Wisconsin played only one such opponent)
SMU's Larry Brown said this morning he's getting right to work to beef up their schedule next year -- apparently Indiana kinda agrees - they play each other...
1 CBI game Tuesday night (3/18 )- Morton's Brett Bisping with a big game, 17 points and 6 rebounds, to help lead Siena to the 66-55 win over Stony Brook.
ISU wins 77-67 despite Zach Lofton did not play - lots of rumors - missed practice, injury, leaving the team, discipline issues...
the version I heard was that he griped about not getting to start and then walked out of practice thus he's being disciplined...
Morehead had a really dry spell in the middle of the 2nd half with just one bucket over a 6 and a half minute stretch
