I am not sure how many people get or receive mailings from BU, but they are kind enough to send me lots of stuff, the Hilltopics, the newsletters, etc.
But today I received a really NICE Christmas card that I must say is awesome, and I plan to e mail the people at BU to thank them.
It is nicely and professionally done with the front being a full 5x8" picture of all the team, coaches, assistants, and other Athletic Dept. personnel all wearing red and white, and donned with Santa-style hats.
Inside a greeting says
"Happy Holidays!
From our Bradley Basketball family to yours"
***BUT** there is one tiny little detail that only the astute will catch.
The photo shows 29 people (players, team managers, coaches, assistants, and the personnel from the Athletic Dept. posed in the Fieldhouse lobby)
HOWEVER, there is one face in the picture that is seemingly there JUST FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE of challenging the observer to figure out WHY.
"Hidden" inocuously among all the players and others dressed in their holiday garb is a face of someone who isn't on the team and has no present connection with the team, and I wondered if anyone else who got the card noticed that discrepancy.
But I am glad whoever took and used this picture chose to include on extra "ringer".
It's Boogie.
He's kinda crunched over and half-hiding between JJ and DA, and honestly I doubt even one person in 10 who sees the picture would ever make much of it, but he is the one person who just doesn't have any reason to be in this picture (save for the fact that he must have just been there the day they took it and someone decided to throw him in there for the fun of it.)
Anyway, it is a nice card and a very welcome addition to my collection of BU memorabilia!
