TOB says there will be an official visit by a recruit this weekend. Any ideas of who it is? Pretty quiet on the recruiting front.

statements like "I think someone will visit this week" -- or -- "I am pretty sure we'll have someone visiting" ....are the kind of statements that if posted here, we'd be laughing at them....
I would be more inclined to take it seriously if names or details were mentioned as we do here all the time even before the details get confirmed elsewhere....
Of course there's gobs of kids in town for the IHSA weekend such as Nick Norton, the Mooseheart kids, and Tevin King of Providence St. Mel - who has been mentioned on this board....so there may be an invitation for one or more of them to come to BU on Saturday or Sunday after their season ends..
Anyway - you'd think hosting March Madness on our own HOME FLOOR would lead to some advantage or leg-up in landing a few of these kids - but....
BTW - several BU recruits - Tevin King, Nick Norton, Christian Williams - just got AP All State honors

that's up to the athlete & school - but whether it is an official or an unofficial visit - the school is not allowed to publicize the visit or discuss it publicly.
That info can come from the recruit and the NCAA cannot regulate that, but nobody from Bradley is supposed to discuss that openly or publicly according to NCAA rules.
An unofficial visit can be taken almost any time after the beginning of your sophomore year - and the only thing the school can do is host the kid on campus and show him around plus offer three tickets to an athletic competition (basketball, football, soccer, etc..) ..presumably for the recruit & his parents/guardians
but an official visit is what the school can offer to show they really want you because it allows them to pay all your expenses, travel (even air fare), lodging, meals, and even entertainment (within limits)...
So if a kid were in town anyway - it's not likely he'd gain much by taking one of his allowable FIVE "official visits" while he's already here anyway.
Official visits are only allowable for seniors and juniors after Jan. 1st of their junior year.

Dinjyil Walker is originally from near Ontario, Canada..
in fact - Dinjyil went to school in Vaughn, Ontario only a 20 min drive from where Tramique went to school
and they played together on the same team (along with Michigan's Nick Stauskas) on the Grassroots Canada AAU teams - and you can still google some game reports where they both scored 20+
He's definitely a streaky 3-pt shooter but when he's hot - he's hot...
Dinjiyl scored 20 or more 12 times this season, and hit 4 or more 3-pointers in a single game 12 times as well.
He also had 5 or more assists in a game six times
