  • Can anyone guess what this means?

A couple people have messaged me and asked why my interpretation of this is.
On the front page of the front section of today's Peoria Journal Star is a
    headline and picture that reads:
    BRADLEY BOUNCED
    THREE-POINTER AT BUZZER
    LIKELY ENDS BU SEASON WITH
    74-72 LOSS TO LOYOLA IN
    MVC PLAY-IN GAME. C1

I don't know. What does "likely ends BU season" mean?
Does someone know of any way that this does not end Bradley's season?

Probably just a young night shift worker who's not familiar the Braves.

the answer probably lies in the probability of a 12-20 team buying their way into the CIT....

Chicago State was in the 2013 CIT with a record of 11-21.... and other teams bought in without a winning record.

I believe the CIT requires you have to have at least a .500 record going into their tournament.

Exception was Chicago State as they won their conference tournament last year. The Great West conference gave an auto bid to the CIT for their conference tournament winner. it was only a 5 team conference and did not offer an NCAA autobid.

The CBI does not require a winning record but attempts to get at least 4 bigger school teams to participate in hopes of a solid final 4 field

I always believed a team should take an invite to these newer tournaments just to give the fans and players more games. But if this team gets any kind of an invite I would think the tournament is a joke.

Last night, Kirk re-tweeted someone that thought we might get a Gus Masker invite
