  • Why no handshakes after the game?

I posted this in another thread but didn't receive any answers...geno and most of the team walked off the court without the traditional handshakes/congratulations...I'm pretty embarrassed and appalled at this. For geno who talks of effort and sportsmanship, this is a real caliipari or pearl moment. I'm not a geno fan but always believed he was a good guy but I wonder. Horrible role model in this case plus we looked like *****s for a third of our team shaking hands and our coach and stars gone!

Has anyone given a reason for this action? Was there probs with moser? Mad about the reversal of the and 1? Worried about safety?

Without a decent explanation or apology and given his results, this has to considered for him keeping his position, doesn't it?

No. Not doing exactly what you should in an extreme time of frustration is not a reason to start the program over from scratch.

So he hasn't seen frustration before? Isn't that what it means to be a man and deal with adversity? We all get a get out of jail pass if all it takes is someone saying I was frustrated so I didn't come to work, punch that guy, tell off my boss, etc. don't buy it.

I watched Geno pass right in front of me to go shake Porter's hand and the Ramblers were busy celebrating, rightfully so. I also watched Geno and Porter talk, very cordially, in the hallway underneath the bleachers after the game.

Everyone is frustrated, and understandably so, but there is little served by trying to make something out of nothing.

Not saying it wasn't wrong, just saying you don't lose your job over it. Do you support the gas chamber for a jaywalker?

            Thanks

Bobby, thanks for the reply....it must have been in the corner...I saw porter down there looking for someone....but being a role model is important in any walk of life. I did see very few players 4-5 go thru line.

I could be overreacting but there are several aspects of a coaches work that have to be considered....let's see if wsu loses at some point and see what happens after the game...they will be very disappointed!

retrospectively maybe he should have been fired

Interesting to read this thread again. .a coach who doesn't recruit well, a coach who doesn't keep the recruits he does get, ?  coach who struggles with fundamentals, a coach that has athletes who don't dress respectfully on the bench, a coach who looks like he's a bad sport, etc etc etc

              Should go!
