Storming the court

funny story --
Saturday South Carolina beat Kentucky and the South Carolina fans stormed the court....
The SEC however has a rule that imposes a FINE on any school that storms the court - but....

since it was happening anyway - the University of South Carolina President decided to join in and enjoy it...

Later he said he enjoyed it......
"USC President Harris Pastides on the UK court storm:
"Once I realized I was paying [the fine] anyway, I ran down … I enjoyed every dollar."

another silly court storming...
Texas Tech picks up a home conference win over Iowa State & they storm the court!!

This one is marginally understandable. It was Tech's first conference win, they are unranked and Iowa State is (was) ranked number 9.

I agree it is dumb to storm the court unless you are unranked beating a top 3 team and even then it is debatable to do a court storming, but this one isn't as egregious as some.

Admit it, wouldn't it be fun to see all 34 students be able to storm the court at Carver after the Drake game.

Much more understandable than the UC Davis court storming I saw last weekend. Texas Tech had a 22% of going 0-18 in the Big 12 prior to the win yesterday, so they may not see another win this season.

Hope the students know about that rule. Question is, will they still storm the court and choose to ignore it?

So I can go over to ISU and at the end of each game storm their court. hen ISU will get fined and penalized. Love it pay back will be fun.;)

all the fans who stormed the court were students and all of them came from the two end zone sections...
It would have been very easy to control and prevent this yet the Iowa State staff & personnel clearly did absolutely NOTHING to stop it from happening...

If you watch the video - you see again and again - students who rush to the bottom of the stands then they expect to encounter some resistance from staff or ushers or security - so the proceed slowly on ahead onto the court - waiting to see if they get stopped but everyone's looking the other way.

NCAA needs to fine them for this behavior or place a penalty on all students - an extra fee of $5 each with proceeds towards the unfortunate journalist who was recklessly injured by this mob.

a good commentary on court storming by one of the top coaches in the sport.
..Colorado did a major court storming after beating Arizona.

I cannot recall a true Bradley "court storming" in over 30 years since, maybe the title game in New York at the 1982 NIT.
Yes, I have seen a tiny trickle of some fans onto the court after a couple games, but that is not a court storming, posed no threat at all, and was almost instantly controlled and remedied by our fine staff at the Civic Center.

In fact, the most pitiful court storming in the history of basketball was ISU in 2011,
when they were a 9th place team beating a 10th place team

Too bad you missed the home regular season finale in 1996 against ISU. One of my best times in the Molinarmy. We always sat in the back and it was great to see the chaos in front of us as we made our way to the court. The unexpected part was the students from the upper bowl that started coming in behind us.
