It must be illegal for us to put together 2 good halves. We look like world beaters one half and look like we've never played basketball in the other half. We shoot over 50% in the 1st half and shoot near 30% in the 2nd half. Our centers were outscored 14-2. Drake scored 45 points in the 2nd half. Pathetic. The only saving grace is we're paired up with Loyola and ISU Blue who are both struggling. But with this team I'm not counting on anything.

On some of those wide open threes by Hawley and other Drake players, our defense was running around in circles like a Chinese fire drill (pardon the non-PC term). What was that about? Did the players not know what defense they were playing? Or who they were supposed to be covering? When someone like Hawley (who we should have been very familiar with) beats you single-handedly like he did today, there is simply no excuse for not devising and executing a game plan to stop him. I am not sure I ever saw him dribble a single time. All he does is simply stand at the 3-point line and shoot. A junior high school team and coach would have found a way to defend that. It was symbolic of this entire season. Bradley has superior athletes, but that never mattered all year to other teams & coaches.

You said we have superior athletes and I won't argue that. What you don't say, is very few and I mean very few are good basketball players. What we have in athletes we lack in talent. Watching SIU and ISU R on TV right now and no way can we compete with either of them and they both were rebuilt this year. We just have a very very long way to go to be competitive. It is time to clean house after next weekend or we will be in serious trouble along with Geno and I'd hate to see that happen.

Few would deny this year was a big step backward, and Bradley, in most fans' opinions, underachieved more than any other MVC team. I guess the job of the AD is to evaluate why this happened, and make a decision whether the current staff can turn things around. The big question is, "can we be better next year?"

Not sure exactly where your coming from ,and maybe I wasn't clear enough so I will be more direct. When I say clean house I mean players only. Not head coach or administrators yet. They aren't getting passes from me but I'm willing to give them the 5 yrs. we signed Geno for. As I've posted previously SIU and ISU R were just as bad as we were last year but have made great strides this year so it can be done. Geno's got a lot of work to do and I hope he gets it done but if this year was any indication I'd hate to be in his shoes.

I think we all know the answer to your question if we don't run at least 3 people off. Should be 4 but at least 3. Problem is we've got to bring in people ready to play when the first ball is tipped in Nov. ISU R did it so it can be done. Time will tell.

Geno needs to evaluate recruiting for sure. I don't think it is his fault this team is jeckle hyde poor decisions selfish play mental mistakes etc. I think Cross needs to look at the staff and possibly make some moves. I used to hear people talk about how good of a recruiter Jerrance Howard was so is our Jerrance a good recruiter? He has been here since day one with Geno.

Maybe clear to some ,not to all of us. It's apparent you want Geno gone and you probably aren't in that boat alone. I'm ready to give Geno his 5 years. After all we gave Jim 9 and he couldn't get the job done so if Geno can't get it done after 5 he'll probably meet the same fate.

t..... Of couse I do not want the next hire to be conducted like the last one. Hopefully, the hire should be done by the AD without meddling or interference from the Pres. Once he has selected who he wants, she can then give a final OK.
An alternative would be a committee to review applicants and narrow the field down to 2 or 3 from which the AD could hire. Committee should be relatively small consisting of people who are knowledgeable in basketball.

I agree totally with this statement
