Sorry, I don't post very often but this was pitiful. Geno needs to go!! Bradley came out with the worst plan. It's such a disappointment to see the seniors go out like this. It's your 3rd season and 3 Thursday night valley tournaments and you can't even get your team up for senior night against the 2nd rank team in the nation. Horrible game an horrible coaching horrible team. Tough rooting for this team.

Right there with ya man. I've honestly seen enough of Geno and his coaching staff. He's a nice guy and all but not a very good basketball coach. Three Thursday night's in a row and a pitiful showing on senior night. We have no offensive scheme/plan of attack. We always have so few assists as a team, it's a lot of one on one. I'm just so tired of it. Rant over.

You're an uptempo scoring offense to have a chance and you slow down every possession. Pathetic.

our guys played hard and with passion - we outhustled them, held our own in the paint and the boards but we just are not a good shooting team...
that was the difference - they hit their shots & we didn't

If they have a bad shooting night - and we can catch them on that night - then we have a chance

Here's a change. I 100% agree with 'T" and disagree 100% with the other 2 posters before him. If we don't shoot 27%, we're right in that game to the end. I thought the effort was tremendous, and had we had that effort in all our league games, we'd be heading to St. Louis as the #3 seed.

Give credit to the SHox defense??¦.look at their players. They were better all the way around. when Baker need to score..he did??¦same with Cotton,VanVleet, and Early??¦.their bigs are bigger??¦.just a bunch of better players??¦..

That doesn't take Geno off the hook??¦he needs to recruit better and and come up with a better offense with more movement

a couple reliable shooters would have helped a ton...

nice to see a crowd of 10000 but this shoulda have been a sellout -

our total bench production was 6 pts, 5 rebs - and most of that was Ka'Darryl who played the starter role but wasn't officially a starter because Mason got the nod on senior night

My take is that we knew coming into the game that they were a strong shooting team, and that their defense relies on overplaying the ball handlers and forcing opponents to drive inside, where they have the best shot blockers in the MVC. But our game plan apparently was to play into exactly what they wanted us to do. We repeatedly tried to drive to the basket, and couldn't score, but that didn't stop us from doing it over and over again. We kept getting burned by their outside shooting, yet we kept giving them open shots all night. Why not try pressing or double-teaming their ball handler?
Yes, they are a very good team. But why not try something different? From what I could see, Wichita State knew what we were going to do before we did it.

My other impression: for those who think we will be good next year with the players we have returning- you must not be watching.

Xzavier Taylor looked like he is incapable of guarding without fouling. And how is it even possible for him to play without recording a single point or a single rebound for the entire game?

Omari Grier had no baskets, no assists, and played no defense.

Barnes had 0 points in the first half for the second game in a row. He did finish with 10 points, but his defense was awful.

Other than the 3 main scorers, Walt, Pickett, and Barnes, every other player that played- Alwan, Prosser, Bell, Fields, Swopshire, Taylor, Grier, Zezevic, Blake, and Wells combined for 1 basket in the entire game. That is 1 basket for those 10 players combined.

The "difference makers" and "great bench depth" that our sportswriters claimed we have were completely invisible again.

Next year, without Lemon and Pickett, this team is looking like it could be as ugly as Kaboom!

I sat next to a Shocker fan. He felt sorry for our fans. It was men vs boys tonight. I thought our team gave a good effort, but we just do not shoot the ball well in the hoop. We did make most our free throws and we did not play our usual low IQ basketball and we had very few turnovers. However, we are light years away in talent to WSU. The Shocker fan told me that Baker was a walk-on. What I find discouraging is that Picket and Lemon scored most of our points tonight and I do not see where the offense is going to be next year. Austin Barnes looked better in the second half.

The thing that frustrated me tonight was the Bradley seemed to have 5 guys (Ok, usually just 3) playing 1 on 1 offense. Defensively, we played fine. We gave great effort on lose balls and rebounds and did a good job of not turning the ball over. We only had 6 turnovers on the game, which is great, but we only had 5 assists all game. How about some ball movement? DSE was watching the game, and said the same thing on his Facebook.

Give credit to the Shockers though. They made a ton of late in the shot clock 3's (I think Geno said 5 of their 10 made 3's came with under 3 on the shot clock). Right now, Bradley's two biggest weaknesses (IMO) are 3 point defense and 3 point shooting. Take away the 3 point line and this game (heck, this season) is completely different, but we can't do that. Another Thursday in St. Louis (4 in a row now) is disappointing, but I'll still support this team until the end.

                              Game story from BradleyBraves.com-
PEORIA, Ill. -- Wichita State made five 3-pointers in its first six field goal attempts of the second half and the #2 Shockers pulled away for a 69-49 win against host Bradley Tuesday night.

                              Box score-

sure seems like we had a few more turnovers than that??¦.I thought Prosser had 2 lazy passes that Cotton stole??¦??¦maybe they gave it to someone else??¦.

doesn't make any difference??¦they were a superior team in every way shape and form??¦??¦.and I agree with Big Mike??¦.a very fun team to watch??¦..they seem to know where each other is going to be and make the appropriate pass??¦??¦they are better shooters but they also take better shots
