I surely wouldn't want to watch the game if I'm expecting a pasting, but hope you enjoy the Shockers beatdown tomorrow night. It's not like I expected Bradley to win at their place. In fact, I did a write-up in which I thought the Shox would cover the 20 point spread, which they did.
BTW - I hate Marshall but I'm sure you could care less. This is not about "liking Marshall and WSU" - this is about common sense and facts. We lose by 20 points.

Enjoy the Kool-Aid..... You better add lots of Vodka!!

Time for reverse psychology. Everyone needs to bet at least $100 on WSU to win. If they win you made money=happy. If they lose, BU makes history and stays out of Thursday assuming we beat drake as well. Who wouldn't pay at least$100 for that?

Guess Rick shouldn't face facts. Doing that makes him anti BU and pro Wichita? Sure he would love to be wrong and have the Braves pull the upset.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

That would be huge (Bigger than Kansas on St. Pat's Day!). If we beat WSU - you will find me celebrating in downtown Peoria after the game.

LittleBrave - I will even buy you a beverage of your choice after the BU victory!!

I don't know anyone in the Valley that likes Marshall. There will be hardly anyone at Arch Madness that doesn't want to see Wichita and Marshall get shocked. By the way what's your little bookie's prediction.

and not a lot of people in the Valley liked Versace - but so what -- he won and his fans & his team were what he cared about -
Given the two options of either having a poorly liked head coach like Gregg Marshall or Dick Versace who wins - vs. a well liked or jovial head coach who plays on Thursday night every season - then I know I would take the former --
Maybe there are some bozos who'd rather have the latter but then those bozos are the kind of fans that the efforts to try to please have made BU a laughingstock and a Thursday night team.

Haven't seen Wichita play in several years. Why is there such hatred for their coach?

Not sure if it's hatred really??¦??¦I know I thought he was kind of "greasy" when he came into the league so I dodn't like him much.Maybe others are just jealous of his success too. The longer he is here though I respect his career more and more. His record at Winthrop was really impressive

That's the way I felt also. Just couldn't figure out so much negativity for such a successful program.

Pretty much agree. Facts say we have to many weaknesses to stay with a good team like Wichita St. Common sense assumes most flaws will be exposed tonight. We will lose tonight not because the Shockers are a great team but because we are bad. That is why I think we go down by 15-17 points tonight. But it would not surprise me if the deficit reached 20 points at some point of the game. Especially if we play like we did at SIU or against Loyola in the 1st half.

From watching highlights or parts of several games on TV involving Creighton and Wichita I feel that the Blue Jays are actually a better team. I would pick them over the Shockers on a neutral court. It is still a tough pill for me to swallow losing a top 1 or 2 team in Creighton and replacing them with a Loyola. (where is the puking icon?)

Marshall is on a mission to show anyone who did not vote Wichita State #1 in the polls that they were wrong. The only way to do that is like what he has been doing- win every game, never let up, and keep winning by big margins. He had a chance to lighten up against Drake in their last game, but it looks like he did not empty his bench and play his walkons until they were up 30 points with a couple minutes to go. Even then they kept shooting threes.
He is not likely to pull his starters early or let up tonight, either. It will take a supreme effort to stay with them.
