Bradley's new mascot "Kaboom!" the Gargoyle

I'm not a BU grad but have been supporting and following Bradley since the Albeck was hired??¦??¦??¦the event, as well as starting lineups was done really well??¦aside from not planning how to handle the smoke and smell. It was kind of a blessing in disguise for the upper bowl folks since they probably couldn't see the bad play in the first half
I'm not enamored with the Gargoyle really??¦..it won't change anything that I do personally though??¦??¦.still not sure what I think about the name. It only means something to BU fans because of Snell??¦.but who cares if it doesn't mean anything to other schools???¦??¦I would like to see Bradley work on intros that enhance the name??¦.something like we did with a video that ends with a "KABOOM" where the Gargoyle comes and starting lineups announced??¦??¦more of a synchronized event I guess??¦??¦.if I'm bringing people to the game and we had a really cool way of doing intros I would like to show it off??¦??¦hopefully we start playing better so it all goes hand in hand??¦??¦.

Gargoyle blasted on Chicago news
At the end of the sports segment on CBS 2 in Chicago last night.....the female sports caster showing the video of BU's introduction of the gargoyle ....mocked the gargoyle and mentioned how BU said the gargoyle was "the most popular choice in a survey. "
She asked ...most popular among who???? "People coming out of the bars at 2am? ". It was a totally mockery of this mascot and BU.
Well done Joanne.
Your laughingstock is front and center in a big market for BU students.

I think it reflects more poorly on the broadcaster who has such little concern for people's feeling that she sits in her high and mighty seat and trashes the school's mascot...
does she feel the same about this remarkably similar one that has become amazingly well accepted and popular?
or this one from University of Chicago - the Maroons?
and a number of other ones?

I have enjoyed taking kids to Bradley games for more than 25 years - I will attest that the mascot when we have had one - does make a difference and the kids enjoy the experience more - especially when we had the Bobcat and Tommy Hawk and they both used to interact very well with kids.
