I generally don't keep up on High School ball outside of the area until tourney time. Who are some of the big time players that have good potential to make it to state next month that I will have the pleasure of watching lol? Last year the obvious one was Jabari Parker. I don't know anyone yet for this season lol.
The top kids in Chicago might be 6-9 Cliff Alexander (Kansas), 6-5 Tyquon Greer (uncommitted), and 6'1" guard Joseph Stamps of Chicago Curie who just won the Chicago City Championship tonight 69-66 over Whitney Young in 4 overtimes. Young features 6-10 Jahlil Okafor (Duke), 6-8 Paul White (Georgetown), 6-2 Miles Reynolds (St. Louis).
There are others worth mentioning. Not all these kids will make it to Peoria, and there may be other good player who aren't listed.
Other top kids from Chicago area include-
Josh Cunningham and Lamont Walker of Morgan Park
Dominique and Charles (2015) Matthews, Victor Law, and Myles Carter of Chicago St. Rita
Malek Harris Orland Park Sandburg HS
Tyler Ulis Chicago Heights Marian Catholic
Jalen Brunson (2015) Lincolnshire Stevenson HS
Edward Morrow (2015) Simeon
D. J. Willaims (2015) Simeon
Jordan Ash (2015) St. Joseph's
Glynn Watson (2015) St. Joseph's

Rantoul has a freshman, Kevonte Williams, one of the best in the state - who is averaging almost 20ppg & 10 rpg but as a team they are unlikely to get past sectional
