An unusual ending to a game last night involving Johnson C. Smith University and the home team Winston-Salem State.
Winston-Salem State scored a rebound basket with 0.3 seconds left on the clock to tie the game 76-76.
With just 0.3 seconds left, Johnson C. Smith inbounded the ball and a player heaved a full court shot. However, shot hit 2 of the light fixtures on the ceiling of the arena. One was knocked out, and the other was broken loose and it hung from just the thin electrical wire. The situation was deemed too dangerous to continue playing, so the game was declared a tie.
Dangling light fixture-
