I think he earned that right, by his performance more than ZA's poor play. I think ZA should get benched just from the starting lineup for one game after getting T'ed up like that. I would expect Les would make a move like that.
Great team performance...don't you all feel more confident nearing conference play than last year? It's a great sign.
USM has a nice record but a bad RPI, so I don't think a win will boost us that much. A loss however, would really knock us down. I too feel better about Bradley heading into MVC play this year compared to last year--hope we don't end up with the reverse effect though .

The final score was just 9 points differential tonight, but Bradley just dominated at both ends of the floor tonight.
BU lead 80-60 with 3 minutes left, and Loyola outscored BU 13-2 in the last 2 minutes. It looked like Bradley let up a little.
Bradley looks like a Top 20 team when they play the kind of swarming defense like tonight.
The guards all looked great, and Matt Salley looks like he has had his body transposed with Danny Granger's.
Another big win for the Braves over a very good Loyola team. So very many weapons and now Matt Salley is added to the mix. The only downside is Zach Andrews. He can???‚¬?„?t take silly fouls and then a silly T.
The refs (one in particular) were bad tonight. I much rather point out when they are bad after a BU victory. When our player gets seriously poked in the eye and falls back and the only call is he stepped out of bounds. Then another case where a Loyola player gets a wide open look as the result of another poke in the eye.
Boogie was autographing photos before the game and I got one for my granddaughter. Thanks Boogie.
Doc paid up an adult beverage. Thanks Doc.
Maybe I should start another thread for this, but IMHO Will Franklin is the team MVP so far. Geez, he does so many things so well. Then again this team is so well balance you could make an argument for almost any starter. Maybe you could also give a team MVP for the team defense. Anyway, great victory.
Great all around performance tonight! Matt Salley gets his 3rd straight double digit scoring night.......and I cannot say enough about Will Franklin......what a warrior! Nice game by all.......downside would be 2 bad games in a row by Zach....he is not playing at all......to me only 1 of his foul should have been a legit foul......he is rushing his shot.......need to get him back on track before Sat! Not to harp.......but that was some bad officiating...........I know we won but at one point half of Loyola's pts were from FT's............come-on? Nice to see SS get some minutes and get into better game shape.......Fun game!
PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley junior guard Jeremy Crouch (Pekin, Ill./Pekin H.S.) scored a game-high 21 points and junior point guard Daniel Ruffin (Peoria, Ill./Central H.S.) added 19 points and seven assists, leading the Braves (8-3) to an 82-73 non-conference men's basketball victory versus in-state rival Loyola-Chicago (8-4) Tuesday night at Carver Arena. By pressuring Loyola into 22 turnovers, including 18 in the first half, Bradley won its 13th consecutive home game and its 23rd straight non-conference tilt at Carver Arena. Junior forward Matt Salley (Charlotte, N.C./North Mecklenburg H.S.) chipped in 18 points in 28 minutes off the bench, registering a career scoring high for the third consecutive game, and senior guard Will Franklin (Houston, Texas/Alief Hastings H.S.) drained a career-best five 3-pointers in a 17-point effort for the Braves. Loyola also put four players in double-figures, led by J.R. Blount's 17.
Two things I forgot to mention. One, Loyola got a team T for calling a TO with none left. Shades of Chris Webber. The other is JJ was 0 - 2 from 3 point land. In both attempts he hesitated for an instance. Don't think JJ, just react.

IMO - Zach does NOT lose his starting spot.
I like everything MS is doing.
I am not happy with ZA.
Most importantly... last 2 home games, ZA got into foul trouble. The last game, it looked like Coach Les didn't know it right away, and after the ball was in play he sent MS... sorry, 4th foul on ZA - cheeze-n-rice.
Tonight, ZA gets #3 early in 2nd half... Coach? What are you waiting for? Why are waiting? Ooooppss... #4, then frustration, technical and #5.
COACH! Why put ZA in those positions to get those fouls?!?!
So, IMO, ZA still starts... but Coach Les needs to yank his arse when he gets into foul trouble and give him a good 'ole arse-chewing. He needs to teach Zach to adapt to the officiating.
