A win in either of the next 2 road games keeps us out of Thursday in St. Louis. That's a BOOK IT!!! Winning 1 of those was always more important than winning tonight. Of course, a win tonight would have been great as well...

I do agree though that our other guards, Grier and Bell, have got to show up and make shots. It's pretty obvious that when we don't move the ball around crisply we have no rhythm on offense.

The fallout at Bradley has spread elsewhere, but some of you seem to fail to understand that.

I thought our defense was noticeably bad in the 2nd half. We gave up 41 points in the second half to a team that is not an offensive powerhouse. They only average 67.8 points per game. Indiana State shot 55.6% in the 2nd half for a team that ranks 9th in overall shooting percentage in the league (41.9%), and they shot 62.5% from three on the road for a team that is horrible on three point shots, ranking 9th in the MVC in that stat, too (31.5%)! How many times have we allowed anyone to shoot that well on our court, especially when it really mattered?
Everyone who plays Indiana State knows the guy most likely to beat you is Jake Odum. And we've played them twice every year, so it shouldn't have been a mystery. But did you see us press him, double-team him, or try any special defense to take the ball out of his hands? It looked to me like we backed off him and let him take over the game whenever he wanted, especially the last 5 minutes. Their other scorers (Arop was 3-10, and Cummings was 0-4) were having terrible games. Arop couldn't even make a dunk last night, so, why not double team Odum and not let him beat you?

What is going on at Missouri State and OK State has nothing to do with the fallout here. Funny how the last coaching staff was blamed for everything, including injuries, foul calls, etc, and are still being blamed by a few. But, now we even blame things on Missouri State.
No doubt that some of our attendance issues are because we have not been a good team for awhile??¦.but it's not the only reason??¦.
And like many have said before??¦hiring Geno may not work out for BU??¦.but that doesn't mean firing Les was wrong??¦??¦.now before you call me a hater I have said the whole time I could have seen giving Les another year??¦..

We never had to pay consulting firms hundreds of thousands of dollars to try to draw fans and sell tickets, even in down years. Now despite that huge money drain, we are losing fans faster that anyone you can try to use as other examples. And the fallout in fan support has not been a gradual decline like the examples given. It has been precipitous and just in the last 3 years, and it will be much worse next year. Anyone who doesn't think it is related to administration decisions and other correctable factors at Bradley deserves a seat on the Board of Trustees.

You gotta make shots and they did in the 2nd half

Does anyone really think our staff gets the most out of the players? Let's stop blaming the players, especially the best player on the floor for Bradley, and one of only 2 or 3 that even looked like Div. I players.
By the way, I notice only 19 of Bradley's points came from players who could be back next year. Not looking real good for the epic rebuild that Kirk says is coming.
Here is your roster for next year's Braves. Good luck.
Ka'Darryl Bell
Auston Barnes
Chris Blake
Anthony Fields
Darrion Harris
Jordan Swopshire
Mike Shaw
Xzavier Taylor
Omari Grier
Stefan Zecevic
Nate Wells
Tramique Sutherland
Donte Thomas?
Macari Brooks? From PJ Star sports expert Kirk Wessler in his Jan. 10, 2012 column following 8th loss in a row at Drake-
"Yes, the Braves are better than they were when the season started two months ago. By a light year or two, they??™re better."
And from the PJ Star 4/26/12, Dave Reynolds-
"Fields and Grier both appear to be difference makers. If Bradley continues to add the right players around them, happy days may be ahead for the Braves after a long dry spell."

Start strong finish playground
I thought we started the game strong. Smothering defense and we were moving on the offensive end. Not that we were scoring, but we were moving! Overall I thought we played pretty well defensively --- except for a few lapses that led to totally uncontested 3's.
Offensively we just quit moving! Pross and Ty were working in the posts - that's the best thing I can say. The further we got into the game, the more willing we were to give the ball to Walt and stand on the corner while he drove into the heart of the defense.
I am not a coach, but if I see a player standing around either offensively or defensively, I would assume he's too tired to be on the floor.

not really...every team looks better when their shots are falling. I just didn't think we played that much different on defense in the 2nd half but I wasn't really studying it either. I didn't think they got easy shots in the second half.
For the record I wasn't wild about Les's offense the last few years and so far not wild about Geno's either...of course if you shoot better and win then there is nothing to complain about......I would like to see more ball and player movement in our offense.
