Seems like Mr. Orr wants this to go away as soon as possible, maybe so people don't investigate further?

Maybe it's just because he seems like a truly dedicated fan and is remorseful that he has taken the spotlight away from the team. I don't see that he's done anything that wrong. And btw, an investigation was already concluded by TTU that determine just that. Who else would be investigating?

Another facet of this story is the effect it will have on Oklahoma State. They went 12-1 in the non-conference schedule, and it seemed like a given that they were an NCAA team , possibly even a contender in the Big 12.
But they have greatly underachieved in Big 12 conference play. Oklahoma State lost again last night to Texas for their 5th loss in a row to go to 4-7 in the Big 12, and are clearly a bubble team right now. Marcus Smart, their All American leader, will miss 2 more games due to his suspension (vs. Oklahoma and at Baylor). Plus they have tough games left vs.Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, and texas tech. This incident has hurt their at-large chances.

Box score for the Texas Longhorns vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys NCAAM game from February 11, 2014 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.

Here is one more bizarre incident of bad fan behavior-
In a Big West game between UC Santa Barbara and hawaii, the Hawaii coach Gib Arnold is called for a technical foul for arguing a call, then a UCSB student comes running down out of the stands, crosses the court, and gets right into the face of Arnold and taunts him. He continues to taunt some of the hwaii players, then runs back into the stands. As he is taken away by security people, he continues to make taunting gestures toward the offciials, and other people. What a moron. His parents have to be awfully proud of their college son!

          Video here-

lots of talk about revamping rules & protocol after that incident...
but nobody got hurt and there's really no way short of putting basketball games back in cages that would fully prevent fans from running onto the court anyway.

Just haul the guy to jail and impose severe penalties against him - that's the best deterrent...but if you watch that video - nobody reacted at all - the unruly fan walked calmly back to his seat then after a while was gently escorted out of the arena!
they should have knock him down, used a stun gun if necessary, handcuffed the guy, and thrown him in the paddywagon!

This says the blame is "social media" (twitter, message boards?) that has allowed stupid, disgruntled, bickering fans to think they are far more important than they really are..
hmmm... I think he is on to something...
Thinking out loud…and wondering what it might take for Bob Walsh to get a Division I look?

All that would do is make the fan rich.
