  • The "New Big East" Conference already crumbling?

The New "Big East" - renamed the American Athletic Conference - is already hurting...
these guys dumped their poor-sister conference mates like Georgetown, DePaul, & Seton Hall - because the football schools were tired of sharing big time football revenue with the guys who had to football.

But already the AAC seems to be having trouble...

Louisville has already announced they are quitting and moving to the ACC..
Now Cincinnati hires a new AD pretty much just for the purpose of finding a new conference and getting out of the American Athletic......

That's two of the BEST football schools in a newly formed football conference already bolting...
Where's Cincy going to go - the hint in that column is that they may ask in to the Pac-12!!!
When Louisville & Cincy leave - they are currently two of the only five American Conference members who are above .500.

and the remaining members - Central Florida, South Florida, SMU, Houston, Temple, Rutgers...
are really largely mid-majors in basketball prowess..........

And Rutgers is off to be a bottom feeder in the Big Ten.

I think the rest will be absorbed into Big 12 or CUSA.
