You are welcome back any time. But despite the people who think the board's traffic is down, I am sorry to disappoint.
The board traffic is at all-time highs. The ad revenue has skyrocketed and is many times what it was the first few months we started with ads.
I just got the W-9 form from GoogleAds yesterday, and it will significantly raise my taxes.

It is nowhere similar to Bravetime33 posting a significantly lower number for the number of wins by Jim Les in his first 3 years.
The facts are clear- unless we win out, the number of losses in these last 3 seasons will break a 111 year old Bradley basketball record for any previous coach in any 3-year period. The 25 losses in 2012 already set an all-time record. The RPI numbers will also set all-time records, as will the number of blowouts, and maybe the number of times in a row playing on Thursday night. The turnover on the roster looks like it's going to be unprecedented. And the dropoff in attendance and financial support dwarfs anything Bradley has ever seen before. I am happy there are some fans that are encouraged. Most fans I know are very discouraged and are bailing out. For the record, I hope Geno gets things turned around, but fans are getting tired of losing and continuous rebuilding.
My significant error was 2 games....should have been 10 vs 8 road wins for jimmy although I feel there is a strong argument that jimmy inherited a much stronger team than Geno
Another fact is that in JL 3 rd year he did not win a conference road game nor had he won a conference tournament game yet at bu I really don't see that much of a difference in year 3

This board has become an absolute farce--mis-information & then defensive when wrong--any criticism of JL or JC gets pulled off--I am DONE with this garbage--I will still support our team as woeful as we have become and know we need new leadership at the VERY top before we have any chance of recovery--but I am done with all the slants/bias/and mis-information that is generated here---Toodles for good
You are used to woeful teams if your favorite teams are Cubbies and Bears so hang around, things have to get better.

Arguments can be made both ways- Geno inherited All MVC players in Sam, Taylor Brown, Walt Lemon, a double-digit post player in Will Egolf, and a Defensive POY in DSE.
If people insist on comparing the present staff with the former staff, which was paid about 1/4 what Jim Les and his staff was paid in 2002-2004, then let's not get upset if we drag these same comparisons out next season.

10 minus 8 = 2. So you were wrong no matter what your argument is. Glad Da Coach had the real facts.

we have the most woeful stats BY FAR in the MVC regarding post play..... ..
Again we saw last night that despite all the spin about how our post players have developed, the fact is our post-play improvement is negligible at best
We haven't had effective post players.....save for two short intervals with Bayo, POB, Zach Andrews....which not-so-coincidentally led us to our best years in the past 25 seasons...

long columns praising XT's improvement - followed by games like last night that show he has a very long way to go.

                      Ugh

I know it has been painful watching the Braves play this year. Most of the teams in the MVC (except for WSU and ISU Blue are not much better than the Braves. However, if you go the MVC website and look up team stats, it shows how bad Bradley compares to other teams. We are dead last in scoring offense, 3 point percentage, assists per game, defensive rebounds, and have the worst assist to turn-over ratio. We are 9th in free throw percentage and field goal percentage.

So what if there is bickering on a sports web site. Isn't that the nature of web site blogging? What's the big deal? Read what you want, skip what you don't, post what you like to read/believe. Passionate people are what makes this site fun. Don't take anything personal, its only business!

                        Now, back to BU...
Why aren't BU players meeting expectations? Too many
                        new faces? Too many juco's?

Smart people saw the talent and picked them to do better.

Does BU have a true leader on the roster? Someone respected who will lay down the law on underperforming players/and drive effort-accountability?

Are expectations too high? Year 3 wasn't too good last time BU changed coaches. Years 4&5 were.

BU still lacking a bona fide C this year.

Next year is the big one for GF and Braves. GF
has pedigree for success and hopefully next year's roster will be better/deeper.

                        JMHO no less, no more

Yet BU is 6-8, so must be doing something else right..

Geno's salary for the 2011 tax year was $582,721 according to an article in the Scout on Feb 7, 2014. That is the most recent data available from the public documents. Glasser's salary for that year was $699,210.

Geno wasn't an employee for a full year in 2011, correct? Seems pretty reasonable that DC is correct...

The 990 form is for June 1, 2011 to May 31, 2012. Bradley's tax form filing is not on a calendar year. Geno was hired before June 1. However, his contract start time may be later in that year. We will know his annual salary when the 990 form for year June 1, 2012 to May 31, 2013 is released.
