The win by Tech boosted BU's RPI 2 spots to #68, and put BU's SOS in the top 100 (#100).

Well, maybe Vandy and Virginia will both get upset in their games so part of Squirrel's prediction can come true.

Oooopppssss.... too late. Vandy was in the 1st game vs PR-Mayaguez and won 102-59.

Let's hope for Squirrel's sake that NW'rn gets back on track and beats the host team.

I never said who specifically they would play

They technically could still go 2-1 down there

BU's RPI has crept up to 67 following Tenn Tech's win.
A win over Loyola could sneak the RPI into the 50's.

And wins by UIC, Iowa St, Wright St, and Illinois could REALLY help BU out tonight. 3 of those 4 would be upsets, so it's unlikely. First and foremost though, BU needs to take care of business and exact a little revenge for last year's debacle in Chicago.

I knew somebody would bring that up!
When Majerus was there, they were a very good "mid major"!
Maybe "Mid major" is in the eye of the beholder? Even non BCS schools!

Let me ask a question. when you all talk about BCS what does that mean in college basketball? I am aware that it is bowl championship series in ncaa football.

                    thanks

It means conferences that particpate in the BCS football championship system, i.e. the big 'power' conferences.

oh is that it? so nothing really 'official' in ncaa basketball terms?

Correct - but they would like to make a distinction between the classes.

You just wait - there will be talk in March of NOT the BCS and non-BCS.... but Div-OneA and Div-One2A. I heard it out of the NCAA Commish's mouth last March - and we will hear it again.

Well, NW'rn defeated the host school PR-Mayaguez today 62-55. The funniest thing is .... NW'rn was a 24 1/2 pt favorite today. They are 1-1 now in the tourney. They will face Utah (who defeated Virgina and are now 5-6 with an RPI of 162 according to RealTimeRPI) in the consolation championship tomorrow.

Note - games against Non-DI opponents don't count for RPI purposes.

But glad to see things going as planned for ya Squirrel.
