I was listening to a sports talk show in Indy yesterday and they were all worried that Indiana has 10 D1 teams and their fear is right now the only team that has a shot at an at large bid to the NCAA tourney is Indiana state. If they were to have any set back and do not make the tourney it would be the first time since 2005 that not one team from Indiana would get a bid to the NCAA tourney. Now my question to you guys has it ever happened before that Illinois and Indiana not get a D1 team in the tourney? I guess we aren't the only program with issues and lack of talent and unhappy fan base. The state of basketball in the Midwest is at an all time low. I guess other than ISU blue misery loves company!!

I agree. It's has been a while since Illinois had a team in the NCAA, and even the state of Missouri could get shut out this year, though SLU is in pretty good shape. Wisconsin has UW doing well, but Marquette and the other D1 schools are far from locks for at large bids.

I think Missouri is in pretty good shape too

it won't get any better as the big schools start paying all the best athletes - kids will even moreso choose to be the 13th player at DePaul or Rutgers rather than a shot at starting for Indiana State or Bradley -
