I think it's a given that we are hurting big time in this area...
Bradley gets less production out of their post players than any team in our league.
After seeing virtual unknowns and little recruited players chew us up down low (Mockevicius, Tuttle, Buss, Enevold, Gant & the big guys from IPFW, Portland, & Kelm & Tiby of UWM)
then I have to wonder about our future...

Our guys who play the low post/center position are putting up these numbers:
    XT 14 mpg, 3.2 ppg, 3.0 rpg
    JP 14 mpg, 3.1 ppg, 3.0 rpg
    Blake 13 mpg 1.4 ppg, 3.3 rpg
    Wells 3.5 mpg, 0.5 ppg, 0.8 rpg

I'm sure some will want to count these guys but they are not centers and really aren't the guys guarding the other team's center.-
    Pickett 32 mpg, 11.6 ppg, 7.4 rpg
    Barnes 31 mpg, 8.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg

But if we have concerns this year - then is it too soon to maybe worry about NEXT YEAR?
THE ONLY PLAYERS SIGNED OR EXPECTED to be coming in next year are guards and wing players.
Then we do have Mike Shaw eligible, but untested and averaging over his career - 0.8 ppg & 1.4 rpg

Pickett & Prosser are gone next year - and there's already some rumors that maybe others.

XT is very foul prone, can only play limited minutes, and doesn't score well.
I guess the main question is who is out there unsigned and who might be on the horizon to give us a little help down low?
Of the last 100 recruits we have seen mentioned (check our recruiting board) - are any of them post players? Doesn't seem like it....so why can't or don't we get some size?
IMO we need more big bodies.

Big Mike? Kidding aside I think XT will develope into a good player. He has to go thru a learning process but will turn out just fine. As far as the fouls go i seem to remember a guy from Cincinnati ( George Wilson?) that while he was in the game for about 90 seconds he collected 4 fouls or something like that. I think he ended up an All-American

How did Wilson fair in other games? I don't worry about one game. I look at the collective body of work. For the record, I believe XT will be a good player at Bradley. I'm just not sure how long it will take him to curtail his foul problems.

I believe George Wilson became an All-American for Cincinnati. I think he played with Paul Hogue, Tom Thacker,Tony Yates, and Ron Bonham. One hell of a team
