I found that leading by example can be contagious

... but I don't see it as good that he is apparently singling out a few players with his comments - his comments are a rather biting criticism of a handful of players who he is clearly saying don't "play hard".
Hey....if its the truth so be it!

I don't think we played all that bad honestly. We are not a good road team anyways and Evansville has our number at their place.

We just don't have outside shooters, but our defense was very good. We were supposed to lose and we did. Get over it guys.

We should be pleased at least with the addition of Taylor and Barnes. These guys are confident and play hard and not timid.

We need to get a new PG cause relying on Walt to score 20+ each game to win isn't going to cut it.

        Onto the next game!

IMO: We were not supposed to lose.

I expect to win tonight too!

Am I wrong? Should I stay home? because, I think if we attack Lynch and get him in early foul trouble they get real small and we can kill them from 5 ft and in.

That is a good game plan. They can have games where they shoot very well from the perimeter, and they can be really bad in other games. They have not shot well on the road, so I see Bradley playing some zone tonight.

Uh, yes we WERE supposed to lose...by 5.5 points in fact. I guess it was disappointing we didn't lose by 5 or less.

Did anyone have a strong feeling we were going to win this last game? And I'd like to know why.

IMO, we should have had a good chance to win at Evansville as they are not a good team, though I certainly did not have that strong of a feeling we'd win.
Bradley was coming off the home win over UNI, which I thought may have been our best overall game of the season, and Walt was terrific. But as we have seen all year, if we do play well in a game, we don't seem to be able to carry that over to a positive effect our next game, especially when it is a road game. Bradley has only had one 2-game win streak (the recent home wins over SIU and UNI) since the 4 cupcake games in the first 2 weeks in November.
And Bradley has not won a single road game all year. The last road win was January 2, 2013, well over a year ago.

Has Bradley ever gone over a full year without a win of any kind (conference, non-conference, road, or neutral court) away from home?

I thought we would rebound and finish bunnies better in the first half.

Which would have led to a "W"

                  We should have beaten UE!

In retrospect, BU would now be tied for 3rd in the MVC if they would have dispatched EU.

Can't let winnable games get away if BU is going to climb the MVC ladder this season, and, help its future recruiting efforts..

interesting story making the rounds in Chicago - that Mike Shaw was part of a big package deal that was supposedly headed to DePaul until the deal fell apart..

Since the year 2000 (Dye, Gilbert, Gillingham, Granger, Tucker, Ruffin, Cellus, Crouch, Warren, Maniscalco, Wilson, Taylor Brown, DSE, WE, now Walt...) we've had FIFTEEN players either hit the 1000 point career mark or come very close...but as we sit right now - we won't be seeing it again soon, and maybe not for several years...we've kinda hit a lull in scorers on the roster...
NOTE - this is a thread from a year ago....and since we're talking about scoring & lack thereof....here's proof we saw this coming a long time ago...

In the interval of a year - several have said maybe Swopshire, Zecevic, Xavier Taylor, Mike Shaw, Grier....and others would have a shot at hitting the BU 1000 point mark..

so now fast forward half-way thru 2014-15....

now it quite apparent that nobody who will finish in 2015 or 2016 will hit 1000 points unless either Ka'Darryl Bell or Omari Grier average 15-20 points or more for the next year and a half...
..and the only way any of our freshmen or sophs would do it is to also boost their scoring to 12-15 ppg or more....just don't see it....with the remote possibility that Josh could get to that 10-12+ ppg range and possibly still play 100 more games.....

we are, as predicted, at least 5 years away from anyone becoming our next 1000 Point Club scorer...
