well ....a few that are saying SIU is hot & playing well - ....but...
but who'd have ever thunk a "MUST WIN" game for BU would ever be a term used for a home game against an RPI 275 team??
BTW - this is the lowest RPI ever for an SIU team coming in to play at Bradley - in fact it's the 2nd lowest SIU's RPI has ever been since the RPI has been in use - with the worst (294) being just before they beat Northern Iowa earlier this week.
Anyone know why this game is on a Friday? I don't recall any MVC games being played on a Friday in the past, other then because of a holiday perhaps (although I am sure there have been).

I think it was because there is a hockey game tomorrow night
Walt was terrific. He had one of his best overall games with 16 points, 8 assists, and only 1 turnover.
Mason Alwan was terrific- 12 points, and pretty good defense.
Xzavier taylor looked better- 6 points, 4 rebounds. But it's hard to believe he did not get a single defensive rebound in 20 minutes. All 4 were offensive, a couple off his own missed shots.
Pickett, Prosser, & Grier were solid, and not much else from the bench.
I especially liked that BU seemed to play very poised and steady down the stretch, and did not allow SIU back into the game after BU finally built a lead.
it was nice game and always nice to beat SIU - but SIU is not good and not deep - so we still have a ways to go....
Nice to see Mason Alwan get some playing time - Geno musta read our comments..
interesting game -- Gerry Pollard talking to the fans - he even talked to me when I told him he missed an offensive foul...
then they threw one fan out merely because he stood and stomped his foot - pretty touchy bunch of refs...
20 pts off the bench - due largely to the use of a walk on!!
Hate to say it cuz I've said it 50 times before - the immense value of even ONE decent 3-point shooter on the floor was on full display - this is what we could look like if we had a reliable 3-pt shooter at any time the past 3 years.
PEORIA, Ill. - On the night Bradley celebrated Peoria's latest All-America City Award, hometown product Mason Alwan sparked the Braves to a 66-60 win against Southern Illinois Friday at Carver Arena.
Nice effort tonight.....team ball and in control most of the night....doesn't hurt when someone else steps up and hits some shots things seem to open up! Good Win...maybe a confidence builder?
