unusual Friday night game in the middle of the high school basketball season plus a cold snap, temps into the teens (as lo as 10 degrees) and snow possible - could add up to another record for those who say the fallout ended two years ago.

SIU seems to always have some fans show up for the game....there are plenty of SIU alumni in the Peoria Metro area.

It will be the usual 6,000 or so just because most of the season ticket holders will show as nothing else to do on a Friday night other than high school ball. Good size SIU fanbase in this area as well as the students will be back, just don't know if they'll be back at the games like they were before break lol.

Smallest crowd for an SIU/Bradley game since the move to Carver was just last year at 6,600. Don't expect more than that Friday night.

Da Coach - You show in the first post that there is no TV for this game. Is that correct? The TV listings show that it is to be on WAOE.

I always remember back to SIU heyday watching a home game sitting right in front of an obnoxious guy doing his stupid saluki barking noise in my ear and yelling "make it rain, Korn!"

Or the Saluki fan down at arch madness sitting behind the Bradley section while we were standing and cheering that our our guard (will franklin I think) hit a game winner against uni. He wasn't happy that he couldn't see since we were standing and decided to move down into empty seats in front of us and stretch out his coat over his outstretched arms so we couldn't see.

I think of those people when I watch us play SIU.
                  Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

The game will be on WAOE in Peoria and ESPN3 elsewhere. Bradley alums Brian Bedo and Danny Adams will provide coverage and analysis.

Students aren't really back until either Sunday or Monday. Classes resume next Wednesday.

                        Dave Reynolds' pregame article-

Yes, though originally this game was not listed on the BU schedule as a TV game, it is on WAOE.

He vs We. Shouldn't have been a problem.

It's way beyond time for the boys to step up. Too many close loses when our guys disappear down the stretch, too many times when the other team gets wide open shots because someone blows an assignment, too many carless unforced turnovers and bricked shots. Walt needs to score 25 for us to have a chance because it seems like when he's scoring like that the other guys are engaged on offense. If Alwan is playing run some plays to get him the ball otherwise there's no need to play him. And would it kill us Geno to do a pick and roll every so often.
