Marcus Marshall - their best player, starting point guard may be lost for the season - TORN MENISCUS
a "torn meniscus" comes in all shapes and sizes - some lesser tears need no surgery and are fairly quick recovery - but others that require surgery take months to fully heal...
Marshall will undergo surgery tomorrow, Wednesday and no timetable is yet given for return - but this is what Derrick Rose had.
Marshall injured the knee late in Saturday's game against Wichita (some of their fans say it happened early in the game), but after coming out with the knee hurting, Coach Lusk inserted him back in the game a minute later (in OT) until he fouled out wuithg just 8 seconds left in OT..
then Marshall rested the knee - practicing on Monday and noting more pain and going for the MRI today (Tuesday) that discovered the injury requiring surgery.
Marshall played 40 minutes in the game (two other players played even more) and the article even mentions their legs were like "jelly" in the OT period after so many minutes played.
