Yah 25-30 points sounds about right. Can clearly see the talent differential, can't handle the pressure at all.

Ugly 1st half for Bradley- down 40-23.

BU shooting poorly again 9-25 (36%)
          8 turnovers
          outrebounded 19-13
Only 6 points in the paint
          Zero fast break points

          Production from our centers-
          Prosser 0 points
          Blake 0 points
          Taylor 0 points
Wells 0 points (he hasn't played, b ut we might as well give him a chance, he could not do any worse)

Couldn't agree more. WSU is solid in all facets of the game.

How wil the pj star sugar coat this beating?

We really miss Will Egolf, despite all the abuse he took from some fans. We get absolutely nothing from our 5 position, not even much defense. Will's scoring average last year was more than Prosser, Taylor, Blake, Wells, Swopshire, and Fields combined!

We held Cleanthony Early to just 3 points in the first half. Make that the headline.

Its actually pretty easy. We played ISU blue tough. They were a solid pick for 2nd in the valley. WSU is the number 5 ranked team in the nation. HuGE difference. We have lots of problems. ...but WSU is far and away the best team we will see all year.

Let's hear from those who support this staff- explain why our players constantly get beat down the court; why our players cannot seem to complete a pass without a steal or a near-steal, why we pass the ball right into our own guy's face, why we struggle to get a shot, but the other team (insert any opponent's name) gets easy layups and wide open threes, why we don't even seem to know we have to move the ball to the frontcourt in 10 seconds or it's a turnover, and why the only defense we seem to play is to stand still and foul after the player beats you. We pass from one stationary player to another, and Wichita State knows exactly when and where every pass is going. Yet Wichita makes quick and hard cuts, and makes well timed passes on the move that keep setting up easy or open shots. Again the difference is also the coaching, not just talent.

Sorry for the rant, but the writers for the PJ Star won't point these things out and will make up some absurd moral victory story instead. But this is simply the worst coached team I have ever seen at Bradley in my 47 years of following them.

I've been saying the same thing. And they can't recruit.

Not much to say- a real butt whipping 72-50. Wichita State subbed their deep reserves the last 10 minutes or this would have been a 40 point blowout. Wichita State has superior talent, but there is also a coaching differential, IMO.

                          Final stats-

                          Attendance 10,506

By the way, SIU won tonight 68-66 over UNI, which leaves Bradley all alone in 10th place.

You got drummed be the #5 team in the country at their place not really sure what you guys expected. Saying WSU has superior talent and then blaming coaching in the same sentence is kind of contradicting. I think Geno is in a tough spot. Lemon kills the offensive flow with his wild shots, but at the same time he is really the only scoring threat. Bradley's lack of athleticism down low is dreadful.

I don't know - all we ever heard from a few fans & the media was how bad our post players were during the JL years

Unfortunately the people that matter in putting this team together must think otherwise - we keep hearing how we are only one little break away from going on a big run and playing in the post-season.

By the way - Wichita is a good team but of their 11 home wins thus far - not one of them was a blowout of this magnitude!
Even North Carolina Central, ORU, William & Mary, and Tennessee State all played far, far closer than this - they all hung within 11-17 points.

but the broadcasters pointed out how Bradley had cut into the huge lead to make it respectable

The Shockers didn't even play that good of a game - they shot only 39.6% from the floor and 33% from the arc... we just didn't get a lot of stops and
BTW - only one player on our entire team got more rebounds than a guy on their team named John Robert Simon - a guy who never plays - averages just 2 minutes per game when he does play, and
who had a GRAND TOTAL of two rebounds accumulated for the entire season! this John Robert Simon substantially outrebounded everyone on our squad except TP.
The value of a point guard, a decent post player, and some shooters was on full display...

I did not see much of the game tonight, but I did see Stefan Zecevic,s "dunk" and chin up on the rim after the ball fell through the netting. I thought the ref would have called a T on this, but even the announcer, Lee Hall, stated the ref thought that because this was not a competitive game, calling the T on the chin up would be meaningless. Even the refs felt sorry for Geno and likely wanted the game over as soon as possible.
