UNI plays well in 1st half but loses to Wichita 67-53 - Van Vleet 22 pts, 6 reb, and 3 asst.
ISU beats SIU 66-48, SIU shoots very poorly, scores only 17 in the 2nd half - Barry Hinson did kinda go into a little mini-rant in the post-game..
....pledged lineup changes, needs players who will play hard and score...
Then here's a surprise...
Loyola leads Missouri State at half 26-18
One other game -
Michigan routs Northwestern but Max Bielfeldt still gets just 2 min at the end - kinda unfortunate given Michigan's starting center is out

I think most of us missed on Loyola- they now blowing out Missouri State 74-48 with 8 minutes left in the game.
Box score for the Loyola Chicago Ramblers vs. Missouri State Bears NCAAM game from January 5, 2014 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.
Reserve guard Devon Turk has 30 points for Loyola.

Loyola beats Missouri State by 32 points - I sure hope our guys are watching the video of that game over and over...
Anyone watch San Diego State beat Kansas 61-57? Impressive - both teams looked pretty awesome - hard to believe neither is ranked inside the Top 15

It was not quite as bad as the BU-Creighton "Snow Game" 3 years ago in Peoria, but the snow and hazardous weather held the crowd at Redbird Arena down to just 1,060 today for ISU's 66-48 win over SIU

Does anyone remember the Bradley-Creighton game in the late 70's at the Fieldhouse when a big snow hit the area. With the parking situation you really had to want to see a basketball game to venture out. I walked from West Peoria. Don't really remember how big the crowd was, but it was impressive under the circumstances. What part of illegal don't you understand?

I do not recall the specific games, but I recall a couple times in the awful winter of 1978-79 we had to park blocks away because the side streets were piled so high with snow and even the streets that got plowed, the snow was so heaped up there was no place to park. Then we had to sludge through the snow and slick streets, since a lot of those older folks in that area never shoveled their sidewalks, and many of them were rental homes that didn't get shoveled!
The good old days.
