Jason was just going with the line everyone else was expecting - and had the snow hit a couple hours earlier the crowd would have been 4000 on the button

I agree with the attendance. I was referring to the score prediction.

Boy I didn't see that one coming but I'm sure glad we did. As per my points:
            1. No more lazy passes. Only had a couple of them. Passes were crisp and direct.
            2. No more flinging up wild shots. Can't remember more than a couple. We didn't rush the offense and for the most part didn't force anything up unless it was at the end of the shot clock. We played under control.
            3. No more letting the other guys get wide open shots. I thought there were less of them. Drake does an outstanding job in screening guys to get their open shots but the guys were really engaged and talking with each other.
            4. Time to show some pride in the uniform and just get it done. From the opening tap to the end of the game the guys were ready to play. From getting after it on the boards, to getting back on defense on the fast break, to diving on the floor for and hustling after loose balls the guys played as complete a game that they have played all year.
This was the Walt Lemon who was touted for Player of the Year in the Valley. He facilitated the offense, made shots and played well on defense. The closest to a 40 minute game that we've played all year. It is just one game but a huge one to get the monkey off their back. The next test is can we do it again on Wednesday against Mo. State. Keep playing hard and smart and good things will keep happening.

WALT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully he gets 30 + the rest of the way because it hides a lot of the problems we have.

                Great W!

Whoever called the players only meeting! Thanks!

I will stop now and continue to love this moment!

                Ready for MSU!

I am hearing Mike Shaw was instrumental in getting the team together. That shows me the character of Mike Shaw. Mike I take my hat off to you. Thank you. Even thou you are not playing in games it shows you take pride in your new team

Hoping History Does Not Repeat Itself At BU

Guess some here will have to stop shoveling dirt on GF's grave here at BU, for a couple days at least.

Apparently DU Coach not as much the wonderkid as BF Admin/GF bashers pointed out earlier in this thread trying to trash GF's start at BU.

Kind of early to jump off the BU/GF ship isn't it?

Hopefully current coaching staff can continue to improve over the previous one:

Jim Les Year 3 at BU: .. 13-15 overall, 6-12 in the MVC (hard to believe they were worse than the 2nd JL season)
Jim Les Year 2 at BU: .. 15-16 overall, 7-11 in the MVC (8 consecutive MVC losses that year for BU)

Way to go BU and GF. Plenty of time to continue to turn things around in your MVC Season.

BU can not fall into the trap they are as good as all their pre season press clippings and quick non con start. This has been a tendency for BU over the last 6-7 seasons.

BU has to play hard, determined, smart, unselfish, and positive every minute of every game.

Kind of like QB Luck did last night after falling behind by 4 TD's in 3rd Qtr due to some shaky play by him and his team mates.

As for attendance, ASU Conference Home Game Friday vs Washington St... 5000... Seems other bigger schools, more successful than BU, also have a tough time rounding up fans to watch their home games - even without bad weather.

AZ the MVC was a vastly stronger league back then - and of course we played a MUCH tougher SOS....
yet the MVC was regularly sending 2, 3 and even 4 teams to the NCAA - and of course you know JL did have the injury problems and player losses also...and didn't play 35 games largely against 250-350 RPI teams to be able to build the win total

Regardless - I'd love for you to find even one post calling for GF to be fired - you're kinda making that stuff up and it just discredits your point...
I showed you a post by Kirk Wessler himself admitting he turned on Jim Les in Les' 2nd year and began the drumbeat to run him out of here...and lots of us saw & remember people wanting JL out from year 2, 3 and beyond.

And GF lost 25 his 1st year and 17 his 2nd - JL lost 17 only once after 2002-03 but he also WON 21 that year -

Anyway - we all want to win - and at 6-9 we're not quite there yet - this team still has a potential like none other in my lifetime- to be able to lose by 40 on any given night.

Az, I'm a long way from home right now also, but I still read the Peoria paper and get on Bradleyfans.com. You should know by now, Jim Les is gone. He coaches at UCDavis. Geno Ford is the latest Bradley coach. Let's hope he gets the job done on the hilltop.

Heard Dave Snell's interview with Barnes after the game. A well spoken young man.

Actually the SOS was harder in Geno's first 2 years versus Les's first 2 years check it out on Sports Reference

sports-reference.com uses a completely different formula for their Strength of Schedule. It is not the same as the SOS determined by the NCAA formula. If you check the SOS based on the NCAA RPI formula, Geno's first year, 2011-12, was decent. It was a rank of 90- 5th in the MVC.

But last year, 2012-13, the SOS was terrible. It was 177, by far the worst SOS in the MVC. And the Non-Conference SOS was especially bad- 339th out of 347 D1 schools. It couldn't get much worse.
