Indiana State takes an early first place in the MVC with a 70-58 win over Loyola
the game was fairly close until the final 10 minutes then InSU pulled away..

For Loyola Christian Thomas had 19 and Milton Doyle had 8 pts on just 3-10

For the Sycamores, Manny Arop had 18

for anyone not watching the BU-UNI game...and if, as Dave Reynolds believes, Bradley's strength of schedule is STRONG & has us prepared for Valley play...
I would say the proof is in the pudding...
UNI went on the road and played far tougher opponents in order to get prepared, & it shows...

Drake was picked 10th in the preseason poll, and was one of the teams most Bradley fans assumed we would easily finish ahead of. But that is no longer a given. Ray Giacoletti, who wanted to be considered for the Bradley job in 2011 but was not considered, has his Drake team playing very well, despite their top point guard and second-leading scorer, Gary Ricks, out for the season with an injury.

looks like Evansville has substituted their Give-the-ball-to-Colt-Ryan-offense with the Give-the-ball-to-DJ-Balentine-offense..
Balentine took considerably more shots by himself than the rest of the starters combined.
